Just wanted to double check the papers required for the IV package. The package should have the bar coded sheet and cover letter accompanied by the following documents:

1) Birth Certificate ( translated in English as well I have got it attested)

2) Marriage Certificate

3) Indian PCC

4) 2 photograph

5) first and last 2 pages of the passport.

All documents should be original and a photocopy as well for every single item.

I am in a state of dilemma as I was served with summons for my divorce but left US before the final divorce. Should I also be sending a copy of my summons to NVC or should I carry them for my Interview? As I understand when filling DS 260 there will be a question and I don't need to mess over there.

Please let me know what are your advices and suggestions.

Thank you so much.

When I log in I didn't fill out any ds 261 form but I can see AOS fees and IV bill which says not available. Can this be because I have a lawyer? Secondly will the I 864 W form be available on the NVC site once fee paid? I have researched everywhere but have been unable to find a I 864 W form. My visa category is IB1.

I have the same thing show up, the aos shows at not invoiced and the iv shows just $0.00, I also have an attorney. Not sure about the I864w....:)

. We got the same thing although in my case we fired the lawyer.

Also does it say available or not available? Did you inform NVC you have fired your lawyer?

Hi Saylin and everyone,

I have a question: I-864 Part 3, Family Members.

My husband is a sponsor. We have been married for 12 years. And we are currently living in Australia with two children( both US citizen). It's a bit funny question, but do we have to list them as family members? I mean, they are of course our family member smile.png and moving(going back) to the US together, but not "immigrating". As my husband is supporting them as well, I should list them on I-864..? Is it correct?

He has been working here at a local bank. At this moment, he has not got a job in the U.S(Although it's on process.). We have assets in the States we could prove. Do we have to have a joint sponsor? Someone also has questioned this before, but I'm not quite sure..

P.S. Thank you for your great job, Saylin! You are super! smile.png

Even if your husband and children were already in the US, they would be included on the 864, so yes, they are counted as family members. The amount of income required is on the 864P found here: http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-864p.pdf, so if you don't make enough or are very close to the limit, use a joint sponsor:)

Some of the members in previous posts have talked about "fake checklists"

I'm just submitting all of my documents now. How do I know if I receive one from the NVC that is "fake"

Thanks!

If you get a checklist asking/ stating for you to provide the AOS and you already did, it's fake. Or conversely, asking for the IV package. (See the FAQ in post 2)

Hello Saylin,

I just submitted my DS-261, Choice of Agent online. But after i submit i found out there is a mistake in the Agent name's spelling. So i edited and resubmitted it. Will that be a problem or delay anything??

No.

Hi Saylin goofy.gif goofy.gif

Hi i am from sri lanka and my husbandheart.gif heart.gif sent I 130 on 29/10/2013 and I 130 application already in NVC from last 24/12/2013, and PD is 29/12/2013 do you have any idea when my PD date will be come current.

Also i saw http://tinyurl.com/4k7365v and in the pending list i don’t see my details.

And my husband is planning to apply for citizenship before March 20, 2014, and how long it will take to get the citizenship and after the citizenship will my process get faster or it's different to sri lanka.

Thank you

Kaush crying.gifcrying.gifcrying.gif

I don't follow other visa procedures (especially visa bulletins). This forum is aimed at IR-1/CR-1 applicants and derivatives. It'd be best if you asked in the appropriate forum.

I don't know how long citizenship takes as I haven't gone through that (and not planning on it). If it's anything like ROC though, expect a few months at the minimum to possibly a year or so.

For MENA countries, yes, I highly suggest including evidence in the IV package. Go back and read the previous monthly thread as it was discussed there. Remember, for most (if not, all) cases, the interview officer has already made a decision on your case BEFORE the interview. So, the more evidence they have, the higher the chance you'll be approved.

No need to send a photocopy of the PCC. The photocopies' purpose is so they can return the original/certified copy back to you after the interview. But, you don't get the PCC back, so no copy needed. For the passport bio-data page, a photocopy is all that's needed. You don't send the actual passport.
