NVC Filers - March 2014

We're in the same boat. Getting NOA2 was an incredibly happy moment, but NVC just hasn't had the same effect. Each little step forward comes with a brief moment of relief but the feeling burns off so fast. I keep reminding myself that the end is in sight, but having gone through so much already, we're just worn out. What's keeping me going right now is the British invasion I have occurring on Monday With a little luck we may be able to mail off the IV packet together, which would be a nice way to come full circle, seeing as we mailed the I-130 together. Just can't wait to be done!

I wasn't going to see my husband in the USA until I flew over to move with all my belongings, but we are thinking that I might actually go and wait with him over there until we get case complete at NVC. By the looks of it I will be able to have a good month over there together (silver linings.) I'm worn out too, I know what you mean x

Finally gotten the case no and iin from nvc but the guy refused to accept email addresses since am not the petitioner but the mother to the beneficiary (minor 10yrs)..

I need help... I just submitted my DS 261on Monday, do you know when the fee will be up so I can pay for the IV fee?

Ok here we go again, another checklist...this time for the IV Package. I know I've seen someone post this exact thing, but doing a VJ search only yields results from 2010 & 2011. I can't find the one that was on the monthly threads here.

______10 - PASSPORT POLICE CERTIFICATE:____________________________

Indian Police Clearance Certificates should be obtained as follows:

All Indian IV applicants aged 16 and above, residing in India, should obtain police

certificates from the local Passport Office.

Indian passport holders applying for visas outside India should obtain a statement from their

local embassy or consulate confirming they have no criminal record.

Non-Indian IV applicants residing in India should obtain police certificates from the District

Police Station serving their area of residence.

Indian police certificates are not available for foreign (non-Indian) applicants applying

outside India.

My husband's original (plus 1 copy) PCC was included in the IV Package we sent. It was obtained from the Passport Seva Kendra. It is not local police. It is dated Dec. 19, 2013. So it is not more than 6 months old.

Is this a false checklist? Should I call them? Why would they issue this if the PCC was included in the package?

Hello, we received that also about the PCC I submitted my Original NBI plus a photocopy . All my civil documents were clip together , I thought it was lost, so I called them .. The nice lady told me that "disregard the email you received ma'am, no need to send another copy," BTW ,better to call them to confirm .

I just called NVC and was told that Mexico is no longer doing EP. Does anyone know of there is any truth to this?

I used my wife's since I petitioned her son and her at the same time. You can use your own email address.

This is definitely a false checklist. Call them and verify.

i gave mine (mother) for my 2minor cases.never had problem
