Hi Saylin,

I paid AOS bill, bank's statement said they took money, but haven't received the receipt yet. Do I really have to wait until I get a bar-coded cover sheet to send AOS package? I just want to get done by tomorrow, before weekend (Friday tomorrow here in Australia). smile.png

Thank you Saylin,.. so those people who sent AOS packages right after they paid the fee didn't include bar-coded cover sheets? Sorry to ask you again, but it's a bit confusing..

Ignore the 1 photo requirement though as for the IV you will need 2 passport photos.

Thank you. I knew there was nothing about wearing jewelry but someone was telling me that there shouldn't be any jewelry. I alreadu have the pictures of my parents with my mom wearing small earrings. I guess the pictures are good to go.

Just a little PSA to shed light on many who don't understand all the delays and why 20, 30 40 days to review.

Just to be fair. Multiply your petition times about 10,000. There are currently 500,000 active I-130 stand- alone pettions at service centers which approve about 3000 to 4,000 per center a month and they go to NVC, Now obviously there isn't a person for every petition when iy gets to NVC. So just imagine.

We would all like be believe we are the only ones filing a petition and that we are special (well you are but they don't seem to get that. luv.gif ). But fact is fact then you throw in weather and, what if i started looking at your case and now I am sick, or missing or arrested or whatever. Stuff happens. In this journey you must be patient and understand, its never personal they don't know you.

Think of your poor VJ mates here from Egypt some waiting since September for interviews, They been done. Case Complete. Just Imagine. Just hold on you will get there people. Breathe, Breathe. It's all well. goofy.gif

Hire more people then.

These people are not adjudicating anything - they are admins/clerks.

NVC does a in house FBI name check on just the beneficiary.

That is completed in 24 hours.

Americans are ok with hiring PhDs to brew them cafe lattes but not with hiring more resources to process the paperwork for the relatives of their brothers and sisters ?

Nobody said this was personal.

In europe and canada, immigration petitions get adjudicated (end to end) in 6-8 month at most

every step of this journey has been terrible.. from the start of the uscis to the approval, to the shipping to nvc to the case number to the aos packet and the ds 261 filing. now still waiting on ds 260 and iv fee to become invoiced. this is outrageous and absolutely ridiculous. i should have just filed DCF or brought my husband on visiting visa... i will never suggest this to anyone. it is the worst government institution. they are always giving excuses after excuses now nvc is saying we are just so busy... bull #######!!! get a handle with the people that have been waiting for 1 year!!!! I'm not far behind you. What I would like to know is how come some people after us have already received Case #'s? There's no rhyme or reason for anything in this whole I-130 process.

Actually you're incorrect.

In Canada, while the petition for a partner living outside Canada may only take 30-120 days, the other part, the visa application part, can take months to years. For the USA the minimum time is 20 months. Within Canada it takes a minimum of 6 months for the petition and another 8-12 months for the visa application.

I know others from other European countries are moving to the USA because the visa process is easier towards the USA than to their home country.

The US visa process used to take 3-4 years for a spouse, now it's only 1-2. If you can't wait for a few weeks for your spouse, who CAN you wait for? But hey, if complaining on here, where everyone has gone through this process and we're here specifically to help you, makes you feel better by all means have at it. You may find yourself short of listeners quickly however.

Saylin really is a saint to do these monthly threads.

You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose.  - Dr. Seuss

Called NVC today and was told CASE COMPLETEDdancin5hr.gifdancin5hr.gifdancin5hr.gif I am so happy I'm dancing all over the place.

Word of advice to those still waiting for case#. Spend the time and read immigration fairy Saylin's, post 1&2 and all the other VJ members post in the

forum.I sailed through without a checklist (only a false one) because I read and followed.Good luck to all those waitng for case complete, hope you'll be as happy as I am soon. Thank you immigration fairy.luv.gif

Congrats! I agree, I didn't received any checklist either and I thank visajourney esp. Saylin for that. Also it helps if you go back and read previous posts by others so you get to see other members checklist so you won't do the same mistake. I didn't even have to ask any question because some of the members would ask the same question so I just really read what other people post in the thread.
