I have the same NOA1 as you smile.png. Don't worry, i hear that is the standard response. What does your letter say? mine sates 30 days, which, like the USCIS 60days statement, is probably utter rubbish!

it is the same thing: 30 days!

We kind knew NVC was gonna become a bottle neck at some point after USCIS mess!

But at least now we can see teh light at the end of the tunnel!!!!!!!!

How ironic!!! We actually are anxiously waiting for a bill to pay. This will happen once in a lifetime. During the immigration application process.

I know right! haha

Hello Saylin,

I apologize for asking about my IR-5 case in the IR-1....and I truly appreciate your help and your valuable answers. I have another question for you about civil documents for the IV application.

The NVC website asks to send in a Birth Certificate for the intending immigrant but since he is 68 years of age the country where he is born had not started issuing BC's and all that were born before him are diseased now. I emailed the US embassy where he will be filling and since they know that for his age a BC is not possible they stated that he does not need one.

I am worried that if I don't send a BC to the NVC with my civil documents that they will request a checklist. Do you think if I just state what I just said to you in the cover letter that I will be sending NVC that they will take this into consideration?

Thank you once again

Want to confirm a very simple question. When filling out a DS-261, the Personal Information (Surname and Given Name) on the first page should be that of the Beneficiary, correct?

The Beneficiary ID is same as the Invoice ID (IIN)?

Apologies if this has already been answered earlier in the thread.

Thanks.

Added! Please update your timeline...

And read posts 1 and 2, and especially my wiki since you're going through Canada. Make sure to read everything at least twice before asking questions as I'm betting most, if not all, questions can be answered by simply READING!

Petitioner's stuff isn't needed in the IV package. It can be brought to the interview just in case though.

Added!

Added!

Remember, the AOS fee is part of the AOS track and the DS-261 is part of the IV track. The AOS and IV tracks have nothing to do with one another and run independently of each other.

Added.

If they have a YTD (year-to-date) column, then technically you only need one. But, since they're optional, how much you send is up to you. But, as another member replied, since pay stubs are to show current income and there's only been 2 months so far in 2014, you won't be sending much as it is.

DO NOT LEAVE ANYTHING BLANK. Fill in the other years and write $0.00 for the income amounts. You'll have to attach an explanation as to why you didn't file in 2012 and 2011. If you don't, you'll get a checklist.

Thank you, I am trying to update my timeline and is not working, I think there is a problem.

I'd suggesting explaining both in the cover letter as well as including a copy of the email correspondence from the embassy.

Since the DS-261 is to be filled out by the beneficiary, so yes.

And no, the BIN is a different number from the IIN.

saylin whats the average after case recived by nvc

You didn't exactly finish your question there. What's the average after case received to what exactly? To case number? Refer to my spreadsheet and crunch the numbers yourself.

Called NVC today and was told CASE COMPLETEDdancin5hr.gifdancin5hr.gifdancin5hr.gif I am so happy I'm dancing all over the place.

Congrats! And glad to know you actually read the first 2 posts (some people seem to skip this step) ;) And that it actually helped in preventing a checklist :)

Hey guys, just checked and my fees are finally available to be paid!!!!

I have never wanted to badly to give the gov't my money HAHAHA! We all must be feeling this way.

Unfortunately my lawyer wants to be difficult and is not letting me pay the fees until we have other paperwork straightened out.

I don't see why I shouldn't just pay and wait for the receipts while we do that, but again.. whatever.

Let's see how long that takes... wish me luck guys ClockWatch2.gif

I have some questions regarding the Affidavit of Support, we file I-864EZ btw:

1.) When filling I-130 i wrote "none" at the SSN field. I actually do have a SSN from when I was an Au Pair 5 years ago. We also checked with the USCIS because my husband is about to file his 2013 taxes MFJ and they said its still my number and i can use it. So now im wondering if we should use it on the I-864EZ? And if we should explain why i had "no" number before or if it doesnt matter?

2.) Also the I-864EZ can be filed by hand right? Because there doesnt seem to be a Bar Code on there?

Thanks in advance!
