Congrats and let me say at the same time I am jealous! My NOA2 was the 12th case received at NVC on the 21st and I called today after seeing your info and they have no case number for me yet! sad.png hopefully soon! But good, now I can continue to follow you since you are 1 step ahead of me! biggrin.png

just curious -- did they specify what date the case arrived or did you happen to call on the 21st and they said "yes it's here"?

I called last week and they told me it arrived on the 21st and today they reiterated that it was received on the 21st but not yet in the system

The IV bill has NOTHING to do with the AOS track. It's dependent on the DS-261 being accepted and added to the case file. What's the status of the DS-261 when you've been calling?

And doesn't matter which package is sent first. NVC reviews whatever they get first.

Thanks Saylin, you are of course right. My husband got through to the NVC today and they said still waiting for DS-261 to be processed, which is hugely frustrating as they've had it since 7th Feb.... everyone else seems to be flying through this NVC step, I am very disheartened today.

USCIS (239 days):

04.18.2013 - NOA1

simply have your father in law resign the I-864 and resend that and ask for a supervisor review to ignore the 2013 w2s. You do not need to resend the whole package. You may want to resend his tax transcripts but those are easy to get online.

You CAN ask for a supervisor review to the I-864 and to ignore the 2013 W2s. But it takes as long to do that as it does to review the AOS again. Your choice.

Saylin writes in the first two posts to always use IE with any government sites.

Government sites are not made for any other browser than IE. To use anything else is taking the risk it may not work properly.

Oh God! I also sent my 2013 w2 with the AOS package. I haven't gotten a checklist yet. Could I call and ask them to disregard it now to prevent getting one? Help!!!

i will send 2013 tax returns and also W2 but do i need to send 2012 and 2011 W2

or one year tax returns enough?

Thank You

It's either the most recent year or the past 3 years. Please read the I-864 instructions.

"If the joint sponsor is a household/family member, also include proof of that relationship (example: if a parent is a joint sponsor, include the petitioner's birth certificate with parents' name on it to show link)."

If my joint sponsor is my sister (and her houseband - household meber) what i need? her birth cert?

- Tax information* of joint sponsor (either just the last year OR the last 3 years)

If i worked in 2008 2009 and 2013 they just need 2013 right?

I need to re-word that bit on post 2. If the sister lives with you, then just a copy of both driver's licenses showing the same address would work. Read the checklist on the last page of the I-864 instructions.

As I replied to a member above, it's either the most recent year or the past 3 years. 2008 and 2009 isn't used anymore. So, either send in 2013 or 2011-2013. Up to you.

Is there any problem if send a copy of my Employment letter with the AOS package. Or do they need the original?

Needs to be an original as it has a signature.

hy every one my case was sent to the department of state instead of the nvc whats the difrence

NVC is part of the DOS. It was sent to the correct location.

Hi guys quick question my wife has just filed 2013 tax return as a single. She tried to put MFS but didn't go through as she said rules have changed that you can put NRA you have to enter either SSN number ITIN number which I don't have it. Is it gonna be a problem if she filed tax return as a single? Please need your help

Please read the bottom of post 2. Yes, what she did can become a major problem.

how do we know the recived the case thanks

By calling up. Please take our advice and READ POSTS 1 AND 2!

If a 1040A was filed, then total income is used. I believe the operator was confused. That's why I always suggest calling five different times and take the majority answer, as some operators don't exactly give out right information headbonk.gif

Thanks very much Saylin. You were right. My wife asked to speak to a supervisor and she confirmed that gross income needs to be used and my wife needs to round her income up so that it is exactly the same as it is on the tax return. A checklist was issued literally because is was 14 cents out!

On a more positive note she was also able to tell my wife that my DS260 and IV package have been reviewed and they are all good!

Hi, I have a question, my husband just changed jobs yesterday, he receives the same salary and the company is in the same industry, however when we sent the AOS the employment letter was from his previous employer (of course).

Should He get a new employment letter and send it to NVC? Should I call NVC and tell them about the job change?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

:D

Just bring a new employment letter and updated I-864 to the interview. Pay stubs would be a good idea too.
