I can't believe this!!! I was calling to find out if my case had been received, but I got a NVC case# and IIN. The agent had my email address and phone# already, and I gave over my Wife's email address. When I asked for the IIN he gave it but mentioned don't try to pay or do anything until they send us an email. I didn't know about the beneficiary ID#, but was given that as well.

I am still in shock. I don't know if they got a bunch of cases assigned today or what?! I had called on Friday and was told they didn't have my case on record yet and to wait 8 weeks!! Today, they told me my case was created on the 27th!! I was approved on Feb 13 from CSC. Not clear to me when my case was received in that case.

I am hopping this means that they have made some major progress on the 20-30 business delays that they have been quoting.

Saylin, can you please update the spreadsheet?

Congrats. I called yesterday and they told me it might take another 2 weeks to recieve case number. They recieved our case Jan. 24th. :(

If you send JUST the 2013 W2s, you'll get a checklist for 2013 tax returns .

i will send 2013 tax returns and also W2 but do i need to send 2012 and 2011 W2

or one year tax returns enough?

If my joint sponsor is my sister (and her houseband - household meber) what i need? her birth cert?

- Tax information* of joint sponsor (either just the last year OR the last 3 years)

If i worked in 2008 2009 and 2013 they just need 2013 right?

Is there any problem if send a copy of my Employment letter with the AOS package. Or do they need the original?

Corlitoa and mmaarreekk,

1. It takes about a week (maybe longer) from the time that USCIS says they have sent your file to NVC for NVC to receive it. You must wait.

2. AFTER NVC receives the file (start calling them a week after USCIS says they sent it), it will take 20 to 30 BUSINESS DAYS - this means 4 to 6 weeks - before they will assign a case number. I do not mean one week after your NOA2 date. I mean one week after USCIS says they sent it. You must wait.

3. AFTER you receive a case number (start calling them one month after they receive your file), then you will be able to request email updates by giving them both the petitioner's and beneficiary's email addresses.

I am sorry to tell you - you thought you were moving fast when you FINALLY got your NOA2. Now you must wait again.

Hi guys quick question my wife has just filed 2013 tax return as a single. She tried to put MFS but didn't go through as she said rules have changed that you can put NRA you have to enter either SSN number ITIN number which I don't have it. Is it gonna be a problem if she filed tax return as a single? Please need your help

Congrats and let me say at the same time I am jealous! My NOA2 was the 12th case received at NVC on the 21st and I called today after seeing your info and they have no case number for me yet! :( hopefully soon! But good, now I can continue to follow you since you are 1 step ahead of me! :D
