Question about I-864:

Page 2 of 9: Part 3: I am only sponsoring my wife. So, do I leave the boxes for other family members blank? or do I have to write "none" in all them boxes?

I've heard about people getting checklists for leaving empy spaces and I'm trying to avoid that.

I rich NVC, I spoke with Mr. Waldo, he was more than kind. Our DS 261 is still not accepted, our package is open and on a review, and to wait 30 business day for IV fee to be available for paying... I told him about yellow triangle, but he sad that doesn't meter, just wait, maybe it'll be sooner, but he can't promise

I didn't put N/A in 1-6, just left it blank. Wonder if I'll get a checklist for that? Maybe I should call and see and send in another I864 real quick... *sigh*

One of the VJ member in this thread and I got a checklist for leaving a box blank and not putting N/A. (Part 3 #9 Place of Residence, even if it's the same with the mailing address). So yes, you are going to do the right thing to call NVC and tell them you will send a corrected form!

My husband left a box blank and we got a checklist for that. Just put N/A.

i spoke to a nice lady today at NVC, she said they emailed our attorney the invoice numbers on Friday! ARG for annoying lawyers who are not as ready as we are.

Lawyer did email today and said they received the fee bills.

I made sure to give them my email as well, so i get cc'd on all the lawyers emails from NVC. I want to know what is happening!

I got through to NVC on the first dial this morning! Calling early in the morning really helps. I waited 15 minutes on hold, and then Agent Sara came on the line. We received our case number/IID on March 28th! Hooray! I've filled out Saylin's form for update! 24 business days from NVC receipt to case number assignment.

I did forget to give Agent Sara our email addresses though! We are using an attorney (I wrote to her, as well, to give her the case number!), but I'd still like to get the email updates. Guess I'll have to call again.

here is a little tidbit of K3 info incase anyone cares compliments of the very nice women who took my call from the NVC.

K-3 and adoption cases have priority when logging them in to the NVC. They get case numbers and then get sent to the emabssies or final destination. Mail and DHL arrive all day long at the NVC. Not just 10am and 2pm like FEDEX. She told me they hear over the intercom all day long that there is a delivery of some sort because the doors have to be opened. She told me to keep calling.

She said for an I-130, allow 30 days to get a case number. I told her to throw my I-130 in a dusty corner ( she laughed)

She also wished me luck on my K3. Such a nice lady. I wish they all could be that way.

and just incase y'all are wondering... I have my heart set on the K3 but I hang here because knowledge is power and if I get stuck going the I-130 route then I should have more knowledge than my lawyer. He has done NOTHING for the last 12 months and I emailed him 3 times asking how he wants his next payment.... Cash in person or can I fedex a check... but haven't heard a peep. If we didn't need an I-601 waiver, he'd be eating my dust.... If your case is straight forward, there is no need for a lawyer.

I didn't hear anything like that. I wonder if you can email them instead of writing a letter and mailing it snail mail.. when I was sending letters to get my case pushed through the USCIS, I mentioned in every letter that I prefer my K3 over the I-130. Senator's office kept telling me that the I-130 took precedence . My lawyer also told me we don't get to pick. Now I have another reason to call NVC again today !

NVC just told me last week that K3's are priority. They get signed in first and shipped out as they are received. They don't wait to batch them up.

Hopefully my K3 gets to the NVC today or tomorrow. Maybe sent out by early next week. PRAY PRAY PRAY..

You'll be able to make the payment in a day or two max if you have that mighty yellow triangle

I think my DS261 was not accepted until Friday (going to call today after work to confirm). Nearly 2 weeks after submitting it. Invoice is still not available, but does have the yellow triangle so I'm hoping to be able to pay by Wednesday.

Do you have yellow triangle?
