The instructions for I-864 are not crisp clear, so a few questions.

Page-1: Which information goes in sections "Mailing Address" and "Other Information"? Seems like it is of the beneficiary, but I want to confirm.

Page-2, Part-3: Since I am only sponsoring my spouse, and no other family member, I checked "Yes" on:

{

I am sponsoring the principal immigrant in Part 2.

}

Since I do not check box #2, my understanding is that I put "Not Applicable" in Family Member 1 through 5 fields - correct?

Thanks.

I would like to ask anyone who hired a lawyer to process your papers. my husband paid 4,000 US$ to our attorney and I want to know if it is a normal fee. I feel sorry for my husband coz he worked hard for that money. They don't do their job well, I was the one who always make a way to get information from USCIS and NVC. And I was the one who first to know that we got approved and also the NVC (thanks to VJ members) then informed our lawyer. I work more than them What should we do?

Is that money for the entire immigration? I mean from the start title the end?

Part 2 is all beneficiary, so you are right in thinking.

Yes, put N/A in 1-6 acutally. 6 is on another page and put 1 in part 7.

You might be eligible for i864, it may reduce some of those questions.

The instructions for I-864 are not crisp clear, so a few questions.

My husband hired a lawyer from the US.

You are so far along in the process that not much is to be gained by firing Him.

Let the attorney help you sort out the checklists and get you to "case complete"

You can possibly speed up the process with the attorney as you learn more

about the process here on Visa Journey. Jai yen yen. Time for the cool heart.

Just make it across the finish line. Its so close now. Choke Dee na khrap.

Yeah...the example form is wrong. It has been cleared in this very thread if you have read all 300 pages...lol. Part 2 is all beneficiary. They have state and zip code because the form is used for multiple visas, it can be filled for adjustment of status where beneficiary is in US. Put N/A in state and zip code. Fill up the PIN code and Province/Sate.

these people are so weird! if you read the form's instructions on USCIS website they clearly state that you have to left in blank what does not apply or none -_- but I guess they haven't updated i think is better to state N/A OR NONE because if you forgot to fill a space then they wouldn't know so it makes a lil sense when I fill mine I will write none and n/a in the case it doesn't apply !!

It was suggested to put N/A anywhere where it is blank. In your case, it shoud not be a problem since you said yes, you are sponsoring principal immigrant. I have not seen a chekclist for leaving part 3 blank so far, so you should be good.

They're even finicky about whether you put "N/A" or "none"! If you were supposed to write "none" and you write "N/A" you could get a checklist! How silly is that?

I did remember to put "none" under Alien #.

I was able to pay both fees at once. Does the NVC handle 1st AOS documents and then IV documents or both at the same time? We will sent the AOS package to the NVC next week and since I was able to pay IV fees and submit 260 form this weekend I am wondering if we also should submit the IV package next week or wait until we are done with AOS....

They're two separate, individual tracks. The packages go in two separate departments. If you have both packages ready, don't delay, and send them both.
