This is my experience: When you go to do your medical ( I did mine in Mumbai) Even though they ask you about all the vaccinations you had as a child, they still give you all the vaccines that are on the list. First, the simple vaccines don't hut ppl and that is the way they make money. So I would suggest that don't worry about it. Take all the paperwork with you and let them handle it form there.

Had my medical in London on Friday, Knightsbridge Doctors. Everything was ok, had no inoculations to get as I had all my records up to date. If you do need any, get them before you go from your own doctor as they are pretty expensive otherwise. Make sure sure you take proof of them with you. Staff there were really nice, no problems at all.

I would like to ask anyone who hired a lawyer to process your papers. my husband paid 4,000 US$ to our attorney and I want to know if it is a normal fee. I feel sorry for my husband coz he worked hard for that money. They don't do their job well, I was the one who always make a way to get information from USCIS and NVC. And I was the one who first to know that we got approved and also the NVC (thanks to VJ members) then informed our lawyer. I work more than them What should we do?

I have an attorney ONLY because we need a waiver. If we didn't need a waiver I wouldn't have an attorney. He did NOTHING the entire 11 months we waited for the USCIS to approve my file. I am the one who followed up and sent letters. His answer to immigration is " let them do their jobs" I am the one who informed him that we were approved. I have sent 3 emails asking him about the next payment and asking what do we need to move forward... I have not heard ONE WORD and I was approved on March 18th. I am trying to pay the man and I still haven't heard anything.

He charged us $5000.00 because of the waiver and because I am a repeat customer. He normally charges $7000 for the services he is supposed to be providing. My husband paid $1300 when we filed. $2000 is due when we get approved by USCIS and the balance is due when he enters the US. But things should change if the K3 makes it through.

I also hired an attorney, it costs us $5k. I wanted the process to go smooth sailing with no RFEs and whatnot. Well, then guess what we got an RFE for?

A freaking missing "DATE" on the preparer's signature for the I-864.

The wifey went crazy. Total bummer.

I could've gladly given all of it for Saylin's work with the NVC guide.

I paid $2500 for my lawyer. $4000 is a lot. You already paid the lawyer so I doubt you'll get any money back.

In my place we call chickenpox "kankar pathar," ask your mother-in-law if your husband had the kankar pathar as a child. If he had it as a child, he need not take the shot for it.

he took some of vaccine but he doesn't have document or any paper to show the proof that's way he need to take those again

You are right. I thought about it also that i could have given the money to Saylin and the other members that are helping me. If I see any effort from them I would not feel like this. Do you think we should ask for some money back?

I wish! I don't think that's possible really. I mean, we can protest that but I'm sure things won't go well and I'm so over it. This whole process is stressful in itself already. Just hoping for faster processing for all of us.

Yes you are right, that's all we can do at the moment. Just wait until it's over. Some people would really take advantage of people like us.

Thank you for sharing, I'm glad you had no issues. My husband is very nervous about his medical there after having read some of the other reviews on VJ. Best of luck finishing out the K3!
