When you get that yellow exclamation point triangle thing next to IV bill how long does it take before it is available to pay?

Based on my experience, 1-2 days. Daughter's case - 1 day. Son's case - 2 day.

Approved 6 Months and 4 Days after NOA1. 1 Month and 3 weeks and 4 days since case was transferred to NSC.

July 12, 2013 - NOA1

November 21, 2013 - case transferred to NSC

January 16, 2014 - NOA2

January 16, 2014 - Shipped to NVC

January 28, 2014 - NVC Received

March 10, 2014 - Case Number and IIN assigned; Provided beneficiary's email address.

March 11, 2014 - DS-261 Available and submitted to NVC

March 11, 2014 - AOS Fee invoice available & paid

March 13, 2014 - AOS package sent to NVC

March 14, 2014 - AOS Bill Payment "PAID"

March 17, 2014 - AOS package Delivered to NVC

March 20, 2014 - IV invoice icon changed from locked folder to yellow exclamation. Only for my daughters' case, my son's case icon still locked folder.

March 21, 2014 - Daughters' IV invoiced and Paid

March 25, 2014 - Son's IV invoice icon changed from locked folder to yellow exclamation.

When you get that yellow exclamation point triangle thing next to IV bill how long does it take before it is available to pay?

Mine took 2 business days....use IE to pay bill....

have your packet ready to ship...you can print out the bar coded sheet

to put on top of your documents as soon as you pay.

You can wait for it to show paid but I did not.

You have shipping time and 4 days average until it is entered in the system

so plenty of time for it to show paid.

Mine showed pending in my Bank account the next day.

The bad thing is that i'm in a group C and i have to submit all the papers through post.

I think you misunderstood what I am trying to say. You need to fill the form which is linked in Saylin's signature to be ADDED to the NVC filers spreadsheet which Saylin is maintaining. And it is a good thing to be submitting all papers through post the way I see it. I've seen posts on this thread wishing they could post papers but it is not an option for them. 12/30/2012: Got engaged.
1/16/2013: Got married in India.

I-130:
2/28/2013: Attorney mailed the I-130 from a U.S. address.
3/4/2013: Priority date, NOA1.
11/6/2013: Case was transferred to Nebraska Service Center.

1/6/2014: 60 days of transfer are up, put in an e-request, given 30 days' time. Contacted the senator. Senator asked to wait till Feb 6 and if nothing then she will do something.
2/5/2014: Website status changed to RFE.
2/10/2014: Attorney gets RFE. They need G325A and photos of both me and husband, original marriage certificate, copy of marriage record and it's translation.
2/15/2014: Mailed the requisite documents to husband.
2/19/2014: Documents received by husband.
2/24/2014: RFE mailed.
2/26/2014: Case status changed to RFE review.
3/6/2014: After 367 days, NOA2.

After approval kept calling NVC but NVC always had one reply, file was not in their system. Husband too called USCIS National Customer Service Center and was told case was sent to NVC.
4/2/2014: Write to NSCFollowup to know about the status of the petition.
4/10/2014: Put in a ?service request with USCIS starting with OVP to locate case.
4/16/2014: Reply from NSCFollowup that the U.S. law prohibited that office from responding to anyone other than the petitioner and to have the petitioner contact them.
4/18/2014: Sent email to NVC Research to locate the case.
4/22/2014: Petitioner sent email to NSCFollowup
5/14/2014: Receive email from NVC Research that they do not have a record of receiving the petition.
5/16/2014: Congressman's immigration caseworker contacted supervisor at NSC who said the petition is pending and will be dispatched in two weeks.
5/27/2014: Petitioner received response from NSCFollowup that the case was pending an internal extended review. Really?
6/19/2014: USCIS case status change, "On June 19, 2014, we shipped this case..."
7/1/2014: Case received at NVC.
7/14/2014: NVC case number assigned.
8/1/2014: AOS and IV fees invoiced.
8/2/2014: AOS and IV fees paid.
8/5/2014: AOS and IV fees status changed to paid.
8/6/2014: AOS and IV packages mailed, completed and submitted DS-260.

Hi!

We received our case number (form to update the spreadsheet submitted - btw Saylin: nice background!!!).

However we were supposed to change my husband's address over the phone once the case number is assigned, but the NVC lady told us to send a request by email... which I find kinda weird (she had to ask a supervisor). Has anyone changed their address over the phone??

He is a US citizen, lived in the UK, now moved back to the US. I am French, we met in 2010 in the UK and got married in March 2013 in France.

Uh-oh! I wish you send them the checklist highlighting where it mentions only needs to be filled if different.

They sent me checklist for the exact same thing. When I called they said you must fill it in leave no blanks. Can't believe they cost me another 30 days for something so stupid.

Another question regarding the institutions, I graduated from a college which is affiliated to a university. All my graduation certificates are from the university, so for the graduation institution, it has to be the college where I studied or the university?

As far a I know, you have to put college. I don't think they are so picky about small stuff. They don't ask for certification etc.

30 days for such a trivial thing! They ought to rephrase their instructions to fill in if different otherwise write what's appropriate, but don't leave blanks. Edited by dilmera

Yesterday i called NVC and made them read those instructions. But there was no use. Still they have the same answer :ranting:

PLEASE HELP: my case was completed yesterday according to CSR however I receive a checklist today and it was the same checklist I have before number 19 on I-864EZ I have copied exactly whats on my W2 now I dont have idea on what Im doing wrong. They want the beneficiary to bring the corrected one during interview but I dont know how to correct it. Please help...

Well good news is you still have case complete and the NVC is having you fix for interview. Without knowing the issue I or others can't help.

I mean what is the issue? Have you called NVC. Is it the amount? On the 864EZ its very specific and its your adjusted gross not whats on your W2.

Just got done talking to NVC and I have a CASE COMPLETE :dancing::dancing:

Thank you very much Saylin, NLR, Dwheels and everyone who helped me with this journey.

I bust into tears when he said congratulations you have a case complete

I had to wait close to 6 weeks for iv bill to come and it was painful

once again thanks to god and everyone who has helped me out

Hi guys so I left some blanks... I guess I'm going to send another i864 just in case before I get a check list.... Also I checked this morning I have the infamous yellow triangle next to my IV bill hooray!!! This process is so much better than USCIS except for the tedious things like leaving blanks or not

01/03/14: Transferred to Texas

01/24/14: NOA 2

02/10/14: shipped to NVC

02/18/14: Case received by NVC

03/21/14: NVC Case# Received

03/27/14: AOS shows paid

03/27/14: dropped off AOS package at post office

03/31/14: AOS received at NVC

04/02/14: IV shows paid

04/02/14: DS-260 Completed

04/02/14: dropped off IV package and resent I-864

04/04/14: Received at NVC (IV package and I-864)

04/16/14: received a real checklist for I-864
