OK, THETIMEISNOW felt disrespected... Can we leave it at that ? Please? There was no problem with the information being given it was the delivery. Please don't continue the bullying. We all know how everyone feels. LET IT GO...

I second that. VJ has been a life saver for us. If I did not find VJ I would have gone into severe depression, anger that turned into rage at USCIS and their inefficiency, and also the unfairness of the US Gov. You guys helped me all the way thru' these intricate steps and do's and don'ts of this journey.

For example, when I sent in the I-130 I did not 'front-load' the application with secondary evidence (I did not have VJ on my side then). But when I sent in the IV package to NVC we sent in all the secondary evidence we had so the CO at the consulate would have a chance to review the whole package and the interview would be smoother (fingers crossed).

So yes, let us help each other. Give special thanks to those few (Ms. Saylin's name would be at the top of that list) who are taking the time out of their busy schedule and helping others.

Ms. Saylin has already responded to you. Let me add a few more things here.

Please review this document from the US-Consulate Mumbai. You will get a very good idea of which vaccinations you will need and the fees involved for each vaccination

My wife (and her parents) could not locate the paperwork for her vaccinations. I answered NO about vaccinations on DS-260. So either she will get the vaccinations at the time of Medical or she will go to a local vaccination clinic and start getting them while waiting for the interview. That way she won’t need to take all these vaccinations all on the same day during Medical. Needless to say that the vaccinations at the medical are substantially more expensive than local clinics.

2/28/2013: Attorney mailed the I-130 from a U.S. address.
3/4/2013: Priority date, NOA1.
11/6/2013: Case was transferred to Nebraska Service Center.

1/6/2014: 60 days of transfer are up, put in an e-request, given 30 days' time. Contacted the senator. Senator asked to wait till Feb 6 and if nothing then she will do something.
2/5/2014: Website status changed to RFE.
2/10/2014: Attorney gets RFE. They need G325A and photos of both me and husband, original marriage certificate, copy of marriage record and it's translation.
2/15/2014: Mailed the requisite documents to husband.
2/19/2014: Documents received by husband.
2/24/2014: RFE mailed.
2/26/2014: Case status changed to RFE review.
3/6/2014: After 367 days, NOA2.

After approval kept calling NVC but NVC always had one reply, file was not in their system. Husband too called USCIS National Customer Service Center and was told case was sent to NVC.
4/2/2014: Write to NSCFollowup to know about the status of the petition.
4/10/2014: Put in a ?service request with USCIS starting with OVP to locate case.
4/16/2014: Reply from NSCFollowup that the U.S. law prohibited that office from responding to anyone other than the petitioner and to have the petitioner contact them.
4/18/2014: Sent email to NVC Research to locate the case.
4/22/2014: Petitioner sent email to NSCFollowup
5/14/2014: Receive email from NVC Research that they do not have a record of receiving the petition.
5/16/2014: Congressman's immigration caseworker contacted supervisor at NSC who said the petition is pending and will be dispatched in two weeks.
5/27/2014: Petitioner received response from NSCFollowup that the case was pending an internal extended review. Really?
6/19/2014: USCIS case status change, "On June 19, 2014, we shipped this case..."
7/1/2014: Case received at NVC.
7/14/2014: NVC case number assigned.

Not a problem. That is exactly what I did in the DS-260.

Hi everyone I am new here just got approved today and I hope this journey goes by a lot faster than the last ! I appreciate all your help if you have any questions u need to be answered and I know them then I'll help too :) love this website and I'm happy to join this thread! Just now called NVC and got to know that they have entered the case in system on 26/03/2014. The operator has given me the case number. :dancing::dancing::dancing::dancing:

Operator also told me that they have sent a package too.

Can anyone please update me what all will be included in the package? and also, i know AOS fee becomes available within 5 days after this, how will i get to know that its available, where should i check this?

Hello all, number of educational institutions attended will be 2 or 3 on the DS-260 form? I am trying to get answers to all the fields while I wait for my case number. I have done my graduation, so do I have to write about my 10th class, 11th and 12th classes (intermediate), and 13th, 14th, and 15th classes (graduation)?

I am re-posting this question as I did not get any answer. I have attended high school, intermediate and graduation from 3 different institutes so will I have to give details about all three or just intermediate and graduation? Someone answer please.

You start from high school and go up, so for you, you'd have 3 institutions to list.

Welcome....make yourself at home...please take time to read Saylins Ultimate NVC Guide http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Process

It will answer many of your questions. It may take some time before your case arrives at NVC and a case # is assigned so start working

on your AOS and IV packages during the wait. Then when things start happening here you will be ready.

OMG... OMG, you finally got it!!! So very happy to see you here. Welcome! Start by reading Saylin's wiki on the NVC process, fill up the form asking her to add you in her NVC filers spreadsheet, the links to both are given in her signature. I think among the March filers, it took you the longest to get an approval. Hope this stage has a smooth sailing.

No, she is not an employee, but she still represents VJ, a place where she willingly donates her time and experience.

So then everyone who has donated their time and experience by answering a question to help someone else represents VJ? I think not!! We are all just here to help each other. This process is stressful enough without this stuff going on in a place that is supposed to help us and give us encouragement.

I'm the beneficiary, wife of USC.
12/30/2012: Got engaged.
1/16/2013: Got married in India.

I-130:
2/28/2013: Attorney mailed the I-130 from a U.S. address.
3/4/2013: Priority date, NOA1.
11/6/2013: Case was transferred to Nebraska Service Center.

1/6/2014: 60 days of transfer are up, put in an e-request, given 30 days' time. Contacted the senator. Senator asked to wait till Feb 6 and if nothing then she will do something.
2/5/2014: Website status changed to RFE.
2/10/2014: Attorney gets RFE. They need G325A and photos of both me and husband, original marriage certificate, copy of marriage record and it's translation.
2/15/2014: Mailed the requisite documents to husband.
2/19/2014: Documents received by husband.
2/24/2014: RFE mailed.
2/26/2014: Case status changed to RFE review.
3/6/2014: After 367 days, NOA2.

After approval kept calling NVC but NVC always had one reply, file was not in their system. Husband too called USCIS National Customer Service Center and was told case was sent to NVC.
4/2/2014: Write to NSCFollowup to know about the status of the petition.
4/10/2014: Put in a ?service request with USCIS starting with OVP to locate case.
4/16/2014: Reply from NSCFollowup that the U.S. law prohibited that office from responding to anyone other than the petitioner and to have the petitioner contact them.
4/18/2014: Sent email to NVC Research to locate the case.
4/22/2014: Petitioner sent email to NSCFollowup
5/14/2014: Receive email from NVC Research that they do not have a record of receiving the petition.
5/16/2014: Congressman's immigration caseworker contacted supervisor at NSC who said the petition is pending and will be dispatched in two weeks.
5/27/2014: Petitioner received response from NSCFollowup that the case was pending an internal extended review. Really?
6/19/2014: USCIS case status change, "On June 19, 2014, we shipped this case..."
7/1/2014: Case received at NVC.
7/14/2014: NVC case number assigned.
8/1/2014: AOS and IV fees invoiced.
8/2/2014: AOS and IV fees paid.
8/5/2014: AOS and IV fees status changed to paid.
8/6/2014: AOS and IV packages mailed, completed and submitted DS-260.
8/7/2014: AOS and IV packages delivered to NVC.
8/8/2014: AOS and IV packages put into the system (scanned).
9/20/2014: Get the 60-day email.
9/30/2014: Case Complete!
10/3/2014: Interview scheduled for November 7.
10/20/2014: Medical appointment.

11/07/2014: Interview.

11/29/2014: POE JFK.

Yup!

Case number should be written on the top right of all documents (except the bar-coded cover sheet and cover letter) for both packages. The purpose of this is in case a paper gets lost, it can easily find its way back to the case if it has the case number on it.

DOH!! LOL I forgot to put case number on my AOS package(I was in too much of a rush to get it out) before I emailed it out. Oh well I think I'm going to have to end up resending it anyways as I sent it before receiving ENROLL confirmation

07/21/13 : I-130 Mailed to USCIS

07/24/13 : NOA1

01/13/14 : Case transferred to CSC

01/31/14 : NOA2

NVC

02/11/14 : NVC received the case

03/18/14 : Case number assigned and IIN/BIN

03/19/14 : ENROLL Email sent (Did not receive auto reply)

03/20/14 : DS-261 Available and submitted

03/21/14 : AOS bill Available and paid

03/26/14 : AOS shows paid

03/26/14 : ENROLL email sent again (Received auto reply this time)

03/26/14 : AOS Emailed to NVC (No auto reply, but this is the email they responded too)

03/28/14 : IV bill available and paid

04/04/14 : IV shows paid

04/04/14 : DS-260 Available and completed

04/04/14 : IV package emailed to NVC(Haven't received ENROLL acceptance yet. but I figured I'd try and see what happens, Did not receive auto reply)

04/15/14 : AOS Emailed(received auto-reply)

04/17/14 : Received ENROLL acceptance email from NVC

04/17/14 : IV package emailed(Received Auto-reply)

04/17/14 : NVC acknowledges receipt of AOS-notice by email

04/21/14 : AOS approved (No checklist woo hoo, by phoning NVC))

04/21/14 : False check list for IV docs- email from NVC

04/28/14 : NVC reviewed DS-260

04/29/14 : False checklist for IV docs- email from NVC(the second one they've sent me)

05/05/14 : NVC acknowledges receipt of IV- notice by email

05/06/14 : Case Complete

05/14/14 : Interview scheduled--JUNE 25

06/03/14 : Medical with Dr. Ian Zatzman

07/11/14 : POE Qweenston/Lewiston Bridge New York

Well, for email, it's probably not as important, since, you would think, they could just re-print it out. But I wouldn't be surprised that NVC could lose an email :lol:

We are using a friend who earns over 60k as a co-sponsor, what form will our co-sponsor fill? I-864 or I-864A?

Both the petitioner and joint sponsor will fill out an I-864.

The form I-864A is typically only for spouses of joint sponsors contributing their income.
