Hi Saylin,

i have a quick question that i have paid AOS feed and mailed out the AOS packet , now the second fees seems to be available but when i am trying to pay that fees it goes to next page and doest give me option to select payment and pay the 2nd fees. what should i do now will they going to send me another invoiice for the the 2nd fees, if they do can i just send the iv packet before paying the fees as my IV packet is ready

please help me on that....

Your fee isn't quite ready but it should be soon. Don't worry, that's normal, just keep checking back until you have the option to select and pay. General consensus is that to be safe you should hold off sending your IV packet at least until your fee payment has been withdrawn from your bank account -- so no, don't send it yet. Wait until you have paid the fee and it's debited from your account.

In your case it's fine, as the beneficiary is sending the package to the petitioner who is then forwarding it to NVC. The other case, the petitioner was sending the package and putting everything together. In that case, I suggested changing the wording, so that at the bottom, instead of it being the beneficiary's info, it'd be the petitioner's. But it honestly doesn't matter whose info is at the bottom. You're way overthinking this.

Thank you. Yes, you are right, I am overthinking. Still there is something I wanted to know, the IV package is now attn: DR instead of attn: CMR? Also, mentioning about the accompanying copies of the originals is not required in the cover letter?

Go with whatever address is on the bar-coded cover sheet. If it's DR now for the IV, then put that.

And no, I'd suggest mentioning you're including a photocopy of each certificate. Since the sample IV cover letter was designed for those going through EP, photocopies weren't needed (since the scans themselves were technically photocopies).

I don't understand why some people submit extra evidence of proof of marriage and some don't? Is it just a personal preference? Is it better if you do?

If you still see the Yellow Triangle (with the ! mark) your invoice is still not available. They are working on it. Give it a few hours or a day. After you have paid the IV fees, wait till the money is drawn from your bank account. That usually takes a few days (1 to 3 business days). Apparently after you have submitted the payment, NVC has to initiate the withdrawal. Once the money has been actually drawn from your account, you could mail the IV package. I sent it PriorityMail which is taking about 3 days to be physically delivered to them. Then it takes a few more days for them to actually open the package and look at it.

It's suggested for those going through MENA countries and/or those with possible red flags since in most cases, the CO has already made a decision on your case BEFORE the interview. So, the more evidence they have on hand, the higher the chances of approval.

It is definitely optional. For high fraud countries it is a very good idea. For others maybe not.

When I submitted I-130 the only thing I submitted was our Marriage Certificate. I had not discovered VJ back then in July2013. So when I sent in the IV package, I included - affidavits from people who attended the wedding, phone and WhatsApp logs, money transfer records, gift records, copies of travel to India and back, pics of wedding and post wedding etc. The pics were inserted into a Word document with comments added.

Also besides those going through hide fraud many didn't submit anything and only by the grace of God got approved at USCIS. So they found out they better sub,it some evidence do they do with their IV package.

Too many people at interview come back here on VJ and say how they weren't allowed or asked to show the boatload of evidence they brought to interview. So why not send in ahead of time. The CO's look over your casefile weeks before interview so give um your best stuff so your interview can be effortless. The ones who do usually if ever have issues at interview

Also, though not relevant for you, IV shows PAID, and DS-260 available (will finish it today, hopefully).

I Photoshopped a check box under the IV fee just to see what it will look like

if they ever get around to letting me pay the fee. In a day of difficult confessions
