I filed my 2013 taxes about 2 weeks ago by paper. I was wondering can I send my 2012 tax info with the AOS package since its before April 15th and then give them the 2013 transcript at the interview? Or should I just wait until my 2013 taxes is completed then send the AOS package?

Yes, you can submit the 2012. We did! We only got a checklist because the amount didn't match. Saylin said, just bring your 2013 copy of transcript, W2 and an updated AOS form in your interview.

OMG, I'm freaking out! There's still a chance ours will be closed. We have 261 submitted and the AOS invoice is sitting there for payment. This is scary. It's saying on ceac that K3 is ready, just waiting for medical report. They'll have that by next Wednesday.

Can you or the attorney not instruct the NVC to close the i-130

You could also stop the process for the i-130 by not paying the bills

How long will the nvc receved the packet .my husband use USPS to sent pur civil docs on march 24.how long will the nvc receive the packet?

When we sent the AOS package via express mail (USPS), it was received within 24 hours while when we sent the IV package via registered mail took 2 business days. But it doesn't mean it was considered received at the NVC. It will take few days before it will be generated in their system that it was received by them.

So off to London early tomorrow morning, have to leave home at 5 30am for flight at 7 45. Back home around 10 pm, it's gonna be a long day but glad to have it out of the way. Early night on the cards for tonight so will update on Saturday.

Really excited to finally be able to post a question to the NVC thread...progress!!

My fiancé and I FINALLY received our NOA2 last week after an agonizing 6 months and 1 week and are waiting on some indication that our case has been shipped to the NCV. No NOA2 hardcopy yet...

My question is 3-fold:

1) what do we do with the NOA2 hardcopy once it arrives? Does my fiancé have to have it at his interview or just hang on to it for our files and send a scanned copy?

2) how should we receive the notification that our file has been shipped to the NVC? Another text alert? Change on the USCIS.gov website? Is it possible that we wouldn't receive any news but the case had already been shipped?

3) Anyone with any experience with requests to process an application at a different Embassy outside beneficiary's home country (fiancé is Moroccan but works in Qatar)? Can someone confirm that it is at the NVC stage that this request is considered? Any thoughts on the likelihood of that being honored?

Since our NOA1-NOA2 took AGES, we're anxious to keep these next steps flowing smoothly, so thanks for any info/insight you can offer!

I have told my attorney I prefer the K3 and he just tells me we don't get to choose.

And yes, if you don't pay the bills for the I-130 then it just sits there.

When I did a K3 back in 2008, I ended up withdrawing it. never withdrew the I-130 because I didn't pursue it.. FAST FORWARD to Nov 26th 2013 the day before my current case was transferred to TSC.... they REVOKED the decision on my other case.. I thought it was invalid after one year... apparently not. it was sitting there and had to be revoked ( because it was approved) so my current case could move forward.

I have already begged for my K3 to be sent to the embassy. I get so many conflicting answers..

We are going to submit our IV packet tonight including our police report from canada, I know it expires after a year so does that mean if we have an interview date after the year has passed since we obtained the report we need a new one even though at this moment it is not expired and it is being submitted with the IV packet?

This NVC thread is for CR1/IR1 visa filers, we have a very different NVC process than K1 filers. I'm not sure where there's a thread for K1 NVC, otherwise I'd link you

They can request at your interview that you get a new police cert if it has expired, but won't always.
