Mine says the following:

____-Fee Payment

You still need to pay the immigrant visa fee. You can pay online.... yaddada yaddada yaddada

When I called before and spoke to Agent Ariel: She told me that I got it because my AOS was reviewed and accepted, and it looked like it was all good. I'm calling now to double check that and make sure that they're showing my IV package is in the building.

Ahh ok. Mine says they'll review DS-260 when they receive supporting docs, which they scanned in yesterday, so I'm twitchy wondering if they'll look at it now or what. Erf.

Well, I just called and double checked with Agent Mel (Who sounds exactly like Agent Gus, btw.) And he told me it was because the AOS was reviewed and accepted, with no checklists, and now I just have to give them some time to review the civil documents and the DS260. You know I'm doing a happy dance over here!

Understand, I'd come to expect that behavior in the Netherlands. I was subjected to that ####### on a daily basis. I've had the most vile and obnoxious comments thrown my way because I have dark hair and eyes, and I can get tan instead of burning to a crisp in the sun.

I'd imagine Europe in 2013 would be... um.. not vile and obnoxious

huh

never mind..

Great news! They've been doing well reviewing packets lately, I hope your case complete is just a week or two away. Goodness knows you've waited long enough already.

Thanks. So I won't include any corresponding Australian documents. I have to list my my taxable income on the I-864 so that they know I have filed, so do I worry about including an additional page saying it will cease and that's why we have included our assets/sponsor?

So, any income listed under any line item except "Current Income" must be backed up by a tax return transcript or the full tax return.

Either document is issued by the IRS - for what I expect is taxable income earned in the U.S. AND abroad.

As long as its reported to the IRS it can be used to backup this form.

Line 22 of the Full Return or "Total income" from Page 2 of the transcript.

The "Current income" however must be backed up by PayStubs and an offer letter.

Assets I believe must be in a US bank account or must be collateral in the U.S.

You too! It's never easy being away from your loved one(s) but even worse when you're dealing with the insanity that is the USCIS. I have to say, at least the NVC seems to be a better and more responsive organization.

Thanks for your help, really appreciate it :)

Will just fill in the necessary details and rely on our sponsor for the financial side of things seeing as all income to date has been earned in Australia, and assets are primarily Australian too.

I don't know how we'd get through this process without all of the help on VJ. So glad I stumbled upon it last year!

I am the UCS and I live in Australia with my husband where I have been employed for the last 2+ years. I have been filing/paying taxes in both countries for the duration.

Because I do not have a job in the USA I am using my parents as joint sponsors, they meet the income requirement but my Dad is self-employed and my Mom is contract labor.

How do I provide pay-stubs for my Dad and my Mom (if she is not a salaried employee)? Also, because my Dad is self-employed I won't have an employment letter for him showing income and position.

I have their passports, birth certificates, and 2012 Tax Returns.

Do I have to request originals of their Tax Return Transcripts?
