Tonight I received the false checklist Jim warned me was on the way last night. Is a false checklist any indication of when the review might actually take place? Anyone here who's received one for the IV packet, when did you get it approved? My optimism is getting the better of me and I'm wondering if having received the checklist is a sign that our form is actually ready for review. Someone bring me back down to earth please!

Getting this checklist is simply an indication that the AOS package was reviewed, it's unrelated to the status of your IV package.

From what I gather, when they review either of the package the system generates the missing items as a checklist. Without cross checking the fact that the other package might already be in the building pending review or that it might not even be available due to the fact that fee for that package was still pending, etc.

Sorry I wasn't clear enough. The checklist was not for AOS, but for IV supporting documents, as follows:

"The National Visa Center received your DS-260 form. We are waiting for the traveling applicant’s supporting civil documents to be submitted to the NVC. Your online Immigrant Visa Application will be reviewed upon receipt of your supporting documentation."

Jim (NVC operator) said the checklist had been issued because the DS-260 was received but civil docs weren't actually scanned in until yesterday. The wording in the checklist makes it sound like someone is waiting and ready to review the DS-260 when the packet is received, which of course now it has been. So I'm just trying to get a sense for timeline with anyone else who might've had this experience.

I just got a false checklist that they did not receive my AOS but IV was.. This is a good sign out dates are almost the same ..please hope we get a case complete by Friday ?

Did she file 129f and rejected at USCIS level ?

From where she got her approval ?

NVC received my case on march 11th and now they do not have my case at NVC office.

I called Uscis and they don't have my case either.

I am trying my best to find out what's going on with my case.

Deep....she was approved from Uscis en onto Nvc en already have all the nvc numbers.She had even paid Aos fee bt wen she called laiter her case was requested back.So she was informed its back to TSC en that after 2wks the will send her a letter....she was so close to end...shes nt on vj...Howz yr case so far?

I understood that it was a checklist for IV.

My understanding was that it was the AOS review that caused the checklist. But per Jim, maybe it was the acceptance of the DS-260.

Regardless, they should improve this automated system. I think they get so many extra calls because of it that are usually a waste of time for us and NVC!

Congratulations to all the case completes and thank you to all who posted. I noticed that many had sent in their documents around the same time we sent ours so curiosity got the better of me and I called NVC this morning...guess what case completed on 3/24!!! I'm so happy, I couldn't wait to get home and tell you all, no one else understands how happy each step forward makes us. I'm going to visit my husband on Friday (for a pre-planned trip), this news made my day!

saylin, please update me on your list. case complete 3/24 our case was transferred from Vermont to nbc

Thanks for your response! I just tried Googlemaps but had no luck. Even asked all the family members and no one had any idea. I figure it shouldn't be that big of a deal because they should be pretty tolerant that some people like in rural areas. Also, I think this question is meant to go with the police certificate since it asks about since the age of 16. It's probably more important to know if the applicant lived in other countries, and a case like my husband who was in the same city his whole life won't be a problem for them, even if the addresses aren't well defined. Here's to hoping we don't get a checklist!

Yeah I agree - if for some reason they wanted more info you could probably find other records or family affidavits or the likes to confirm he lived in the same area from 16 to 21. Part of it is they want to check for gaps in address for, like you said, living in other countries as well as any time if someone was incarcerated.

I wouldn't stress about it - obviously you have done as much research as you can! My husband had one on there that was just a state road number and closest town and we did. Not get a checklist. You should be fine good luck!!!!

She can call USCIS and find out the reason why they requested her case back to them.

I think NVC sent my case back to USCIS, but they didn't receive yet.

I didn't get any case number from NVC.

So I got an email from NVC that I have been registered as an agent for the applicant which I am assuming is acceptance of DS261 and it also says that I should pay the IV fees for further processing....... well the only problem is that the portal is showing that yellow triangle but I can't pay the fees as there is nothing to pay for IV. I was really hoping to pay the IV fees today. Anyone else having the same issue?

me i have yellow triangle since day before yesterday, and in the middle of cr-1, today i received a letter from embassy that my interview for K3 is scheduled for April 17.

I always get stuck with the bad ones, Haven't gotten any of the helpful ones as of yet :-(
