I can't believe this!!! I was calling to find out if my case had been received, but I got a NVC case# and IIN. The agent had my email address and phone# already, and I gave over my Wife's email address. When I asked for the IIN he gave it but mentioned don't try to pay or do anything until they send us an email. I didn't know about the beneficiary ID#, but was given that as well.

I am still in shock. I don't know if they got a bunch of cases assigned today or what?! I had called on Friday and was told they didn't have my case on record yet and to wait 8 weeks!! Today, they told me my case was created on the 27th!! I was approved on Feb 13 from CSC. Not clear to me when my case was received in that case.

I am hopping this means that they have made some major progress on the 20-30 business delays that they have been quoting.

Saylin, can you please update the spreadsheet?

Hi everyone..

I've a few questions. Hope someone would help:

1-Can we give our email addresses over phone or we have to sent email to NVC?

2-To complete DS-261 one should have beneficiary ID. For that do we have to wait for NVC's email instructing to fill DS-261 or that # can be acquired along with case # & IIN?

3-We have a co-sponsor (that is not a household member). I understand petitioner & co-sponsor would both be filling I864 but if co-sponsor (joint sponsor) is filing his tax return as Jointly Married would his wife be required to fill I864A or not?

1. Either way, but over the phone will be a heck of a lot faster.

2. Not correct, BIN isn't needed for the online forms.

3. No, spouses of joint sponsors aren't required to fill out an I-864A if they don't want to. Just make sure the joint sponsor includes their W2s with their tax transcripts to show individual income.

Also, is it worth calling them to find out if our case is complete if the CEAC still says "at nvc". Does anyone know if this information is the most up to date or would a phone rep perhaps be able to tell us if our case was complete before the CEAC does?

Cheers

Keep calling. The operator is up to date than the ceac website. Got an email today saying they already forwarded my case to my consulate but my status in ceac is still "at nvc".

Send them an email and they will probably email you back. :) That's what I did. Sometimes it takes a while before they'll send you an update.

Hey everyone,

I received the AOS Bill by email today, however when I attempt to log into the system it still tells me my case is in the process of being terminated. Should I give it a day or give them a call? Thanks!

Please read posts 1 & 2. Nothing to worry about.

We got a dreaded checklist. :-(

The Form I-864 we received was missing the following page(s). Please ensure you include all nine pages when you
resubmit the form.
[x]
You must submit the following financial evidence:
[x] A written statement indicating why you did not file ________2013___________________________ Federal income
tax returns.
[x] ___________2013________________________ Federal income tax returns, IRS printout, or Letter 1722 issued by
the IRS.
[x]
NVC Special Instructions
This was in regards to my father's (joint sponsor) I-864. I thought I was going to have an arguing point because he only submitted 2010, 11 & 12 tax transcripts....But, Going back through the items he added to the package, I notice that he included his 2013 W2s. ARGH! DAD!!!! I should've caught it, but oh well. So now they see he earned but didn't submit tax returns meaning they think he didn't file. He actual is in the process of filing right now I believe.
If I call up and tell them he is currently filing, will they waive the need for the written letter about why he didn't file? Since he is in fact filing? In which case, they just need the 2013 tax transcript. Also, will they maybe go ahead and say I can have my husband carry it to the interview instead of resubmitting? Or can I try to convince them to let me do that? Otherwise we have to wait for him to finish filing, then for the transcript to be ordered and mailed THEN mail the whole I-864 again. :-(
If they let my husband carry it to the interview, how do I get them to go back to reviewing my case since I wouldn't be mailing anything back to them?
