Hi BOS_LHR,

Have you called NVC recently? Did they review and approve your AOS package as of yet?

Thanks!

I called last night around 8pm EST, no movement on AOS (still getting the "wait 30 days" line) and IV packet hasn't been scanned. I'll be calling again tonight so they have time to process mail, I'm at least hoping the IV will be received by the end of today. Have they acknowledged receipt of your IV packet yet?

Ah, the famous wait 30 business days line :-)

I think it should be really soon for the AOS review, saw someone with a date of submit close to yours that was accepted recently. They have been doing a pretty awesome job as of late, we have pretty conclusive evidence now that they are working OT and Saturdays. Saw someone with a case complete on Sat!

I haven't had a chance to call since I sent it in, plan to call later in the day when they free up a bit. I was hoping to hear that AOS review was done, but guess not.

Hope you get movement soon, good luck!

I didn't see that post from the person with AOS accepted, that's great :) I'm hoping it'll be done in the next week, which feels optimistic, but as you say things seem to be picking up at NVC again. I'll certainly check back in if I get good news tonight, or whenever it happens. Hope you'll do the same!

Check my timeline. You have to give them about 20 business days after which you can call them or they will send a letter in mail to advise you of further processing. This will take anywhere from 20 to 25 business days after they receive your file at NVC.

There's criteria to expedite. Look at the criteria on USCIS's website as NVC is the same. Pregnancy really isn't a reason for expedite, unless it's high risk. You can always try if you wish. The worst that can happen is you're told no.

After several calls to the NVC in which I got the busy tone, I finally got through, and found out that a case number was assigned on Friday! If at all possible, could I have the spreadsheet updated with our information, Saylin? :) NOA2 was 02/05, NVC received the case 02/18, and the case number was assigned 03/21.

Added!

Make sure you fix your signature, so that the case assigned date is 3/21, not 3/25 ;)

Hee, yeah, thanks - have done so. Totally on autopilot, apparently. What's frustrating is that I called Friday morning, and there was no case number assigned. If I had only called back! Haha.

Also, I totally spaced when I was on the phone. For the EP, do we have to use separate emails or can it come from our joint email account that we gave in the I-130 forms? That's what they have on file, and I'd love to have them in one place if that's possible.

If the NVC operator said they have the joint email account on file, then that should be fine. There's no requirement to have two email addresses
