Just looking over the slides for the ds-260. Where it says "will your child be immigrating with you", what do you put if your child is a dual US/Canadian citizen? Because if you answer no it asks where they will reside and such

If you child is a citizen, they are not going to need to undergo any immigration proceedings so you mark no to this question.

In my DS-260, the next question is then "Is this child immigrating to the U.S. at a later date to join you?"

For this, you also answer no for the same reason you answered no to the first.

They are going to come with you, but they aren't immigrating according to the National Visa Center.

Hello everyone! I'm new here. My case is currently at the NVC. I have paid the AOS and IV fee. My wife has sent the AOS papers last 03/06/14 and was delivered at NVC on 03/10/14. I just recently filled up the DS-260 form online and submitted it last 03/21/14. And also, I sent my civil documents on that same day. According to Fed Ex, it has arrived yesterday 03/24/14 at the NVC. I was wondering will we receive a notice regarding the AOS? And I've read that my next step will be the medical. When should I expect this to take place? Thank you everyone in advance!

Those curious about best time to call NVC. Straight from them.

We recommend you call during off-peak hours to receive faster service.

OFF-PEAK Calling Times:

7am to 10am (EST)

8pm to midnight (EST)

Yep. Whenever I've called right at 7am or a bit after, I've either gotten through immediately or it only took redialing two or three times.

Saylin, congrats on your new job.

So I decided to fill my DS260 as its already available. Regarding the question, Do you have documentation to establish that you have received vaccinations in accordance with U.S. law? I dont have any vaccination records with me so I selected NO but it asks for explanation what would be the best way to answer it. Thanks.

Can somebody please answer this question as I guess lots of us are asking the same question?

Yesterday I was reading on the Costa Rica medical info page that if you don't have an immunization record, the doctor will discuss with you what you will need. Now that is for Costa Rica. The immunization rules have changed since 2008. They never asked for it back then but now it seems like they need all of that. Thank god my mother-in-law has all of that info for my husband to take with him.

I called again today to check on the I-129F and they told me that it is still undergoing administrative processing at NVC. Todd (NVC customer rep) added that it is most likely because of the I-130.

On the other hand, The I-130 is still waiting for a case #.

My delimma is: you wanna close I-129F fine, but at least process the I-130 before or at the same time! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Quick question regarding the police certificate for the IV package:

Do I need to get it right before mailing the package?

I got it last week and I was planning on getting the apostille and translating it to have it ready, but since I won't be mailing the package any time soon I was wonderting if I should wait and go get another certificate right before that.
