My AOS FINALLY shows paid after 10 business days. And my IV fee has the big yellow triangle. So excited! Last step before case complete - barring no checklist -.

July 1st 2013: NOA1

January 9th 2014: Transferred to CSC

January 16th 2014: NOA2

January 24 2014: Case recieved at NVC

March 5 2014: Received case number, IIN, & BIN

March 7 2014: Paid AOS feeMarch 8 2014: Filled out DS-261

March 11 2014: Sent AOS packageMarch 14 2014: AOS package arrived at NVC

March 18 2014: AOS package entered in system

March 25 2014: Paid IV feeMarch 28 2014: Received AOS checklist

Usually it would be the I864A if the spouse has income as well, I believe if his spouse has no income then you would not need to submit the form ?

You sound like you know what you're doing

We are in a bit of weird sitch

2010, 2011 and 2012 filed return jointly with the sponsor - in the US - both living together

2013 - filed separately

her 2013 income is sufficient and so is her current income

so i do fill out the 864 A or not

P.S. my 2013 and current income (in India) are also sufficient

How long did it take for them to ship your file out? And when did the NVC receive it?

Hmmm now I am not sure, I believe since you filed separately in 2013 you would not need the I864A.... if you wanted to use that income it would be used as another sponsor. Now not sure but please double check

:unsure: I tried to log in here : https://ceac.state.gov/CTRAC/Invoice/signon.aspx and typed in my case # and IIN# that I got on the phone from NVC last week and it didn`t work.

I think you will be able to access the DS-261 by end of today and also receive the AOS fee invoice either today or tomorrow.

I got approved in tsc dec16,2013 they shipped my papers to nvc jan.9,2014..nvc received my case jan.17

My IV fee for my Mum shows as paid and the DS-260 is available. I'm scared to fill it out - I just clicked on it and looked briefly, and clicked out of it again! Its so fricking detailed and I think I might need a glass of wine before I tackle it :blink:

I-130 for both parents

March 28th 2013 - Priority date/ NOA 1
November 14th 2013 - Transferred to Nebraska Service Center

January 7th 2014 - Case changed online to approved for both

January 8th 2014 - case changed to shipped to NVC

January 9th 2014 - case changed to NOA 2 mailed

January 10th 2014 - Received the hardcopy of the NOA 2 stating that NVC would issue a case number in 30 days approx.

January 21st 2014 - Case Received at NVC

February 26th 2014 - Case numbers and IIN number received - Wrong embassy code assigned...now waiting for new case numbers.

March 3rd 2014 - Filled in DS-261 for both parents

March 5th 2014- AOS available, paid and submitted AOS packet.

March 6th 2014 - USPS shows packet was delivered at NVC

March 10th 2014 - AOS shows as paid in the CEAC portal/AOS logged into system as being received by NVC.

March 11th 2014 - New case number assigned for my Dad.

March 20th 2014 - Paid IV fee for my Mum.

March 25th 2014 - AOS accepted by NVC with no checklist.

March 26th 2014 - Filled in and submitted DS-260 for my Mum

March 31st 2014 - AOS found in my Mum's file for my Dad - accepted and placed into his file/IV fee available for my Dad and Paid.

April 1st - Mailed all civil documents to NVC for both parents.

April 3rd: IV fee shows as paid in portal/submitted DS-260 for my Dad.

April 22nd: checklist issued for civil documents - NVC error ...

April 23rd: sent another certified copy of my marriage certificate

April 24th: Case complete! :)

April 30th 2014 - Medical scheduled for parents at Knightsbridge in London

June 11th: Interview at London Embassy - Approved :)

Does NVC send an email when they do a case complete or do we call them ?

Do they also send an email when they send file to the consulate ?

You should call because the case complete email comes a week after case complete.

No you do not get a email when they send to consulate.

You get an email when you interview is scheduled usually within hours of the scheduling. And that's that. Casefiles usually go out within a few days. If you want to track it there's many things you have to do and you have to call and then go to DHL (See the NVC wiki on that).
