Apparently the transcripts identify the source of the income... if you were only to send in the tax returns you'd also include the W2, but with transcripts they state the W2 isn't required, so it must be evident on the transcript somewhere.

Thanks Lakehouse for your reply. However I can't find on the transcripts the source of income. :-( It looks like it's combined when it's filed jointly...

Anyone can see the source of the income on the IRS transcripts??

Hi All/ Saylin

Kindly be informed that we submitted the Affidavit of support along with DS-260 together on 28 Feb 2014 , but my stupid lawyer has committed a couple of mistakes on DS-260 as i was reviewing it couple days ago , i found 12 mistakes on that form , but the major mistakes are prior Visa applications that i have applied as he answered that question with No instead of Yes, and my address when i was 16 years old , as these mistakes are major and they cannot be justified at the time if interview so what shall i do in order to unlock that submitted DS-260 and correct the caught mistakes ?

I have seen some people saying that i have to wait 30 days after submission in order to call them and ask them to unlock it , is that true ?

Please advise VJ's ?

Thanks

I also made mistakes on 260, it has to do with dates. What I did is that I attached a letter to my IV package explaining what happened. When I called NVC about it they said that if its not a big deal, the beneficiary can mention it during the interview.

Maybe send along the W2 then? Sorry, I don't do US taxes and am only going by what I recall reading on the instructions ( page 6/13, point 7 about Federal Income Tax Information).

Hi there! Can i send the AOS package to NVC even if the status of the payment is 'on process'?

Be sure to read Saylin's wiki, and I was going to link her NVC process which is 'stickied', but the information that used to be 'posts 1 & 2 seems to have disappeared!

It would clarify that if the payment has been cleared through the bank, then yes, it's safe to proceed.

Thanks a lot anyway! I think it might be safer to send the W2s indeed. I'll ask the joint sponsor if he kept them (hopefully!). yes.gif

Ryan H or Darnell, I ve got some specific questions on China IV documents:

1. I ve already got my certified birthcertificate from the notary public office. But while I was reading the IV instructions on the Guangzhou consulate website, I found something new to me. Under the line of birthcertificate.0, it says "The certificate must also indicate that the public office extracted the information from official records." So, I checked my little while book, and there s no such statement on there.

When I applied this certified birthcertificate, I went directly to the hospital I was born in and got the original birth record and submitted to the notary office. So, should they have put "The information was extracted according to the original birth record provided by xxx hospital"? If so, there is indeed no such statement in the notarized copies. Then I have to contact the notary office see if they will be willing to add a statement for me.

2. I know we are supposed to send in the white covered notarized copy of marriage certificate, but do I still scan the little red books of marriage certificates in too? Or is the white covered copy is enough? Same applies to the police clearance certificate?

3. Guangzhou consulate also requests a resume. Should I scan it in for NVC or should I just bring it in for the interview?

Thanks for your answers! The birthcertificate thing really threw me off a little bit this afternoon...really appreciate your help.

Good luck and be safe. Watch out for those CRAZY drivers!! Lol! 7 yrs ago I moved from PA to FL. Wow what a trip! Everything made it safe and sound but I wouldn't want to do it again!!smile.png

We made it all safe and sound. Everything was unloaded by mid-afternoon. Just have to unpack it all!

Hi, anyone good at guessing? Is it likely or unlikely that my husband will be able to join me in the USA for our wedding anniversary on July 7th going by our timeline?

I would rather not get my hopes up- if it is unlikely.

Thanks for the guesses!

It could be possible, as long as you pay everything right away and send packages right away and don't get any checklists.

DS-260 Completed and Submitted... Saylin please update on your spreadsheet!!

Updated!

Safe travels and hope the U-Haul truck doesn't break down on you.

Thankfully no issues!

Have letter of employment but it is dated January. Would it be ok to still use it, or should I get a new one from employer? I have all current paystubs from this year. Just wondering if the date on the letter will matter?

If you could get a more updated letter, that'd be good, although 2 months isn't that bad.

Why does it say case is in process of termination?????ohmy.png

That's good news ;) Please read my wiki I wrote. It's linked in my signature below.

Have a safe trip...you can't go too far away from us smile.png

Nope, never! Sitting on the floor of my old apartment tethered to my phone's internet :P My husband and his grandma are cleaning everything while I catch up on VJ :P

Oh okay thank you! But if the joint-sponsor files a I-864, gives his IRS tax return transcripts and pay stubs, how could NVC know the income doesn't also come from the wife (doesn't show on the transcripts)? Could this lead to a checklist?

Good luck with the moving, I know it's stressful!

For those that file jointly, you're supposed to include the W2s with the transcripts, so NVC can see the individual income ;)

thanks for the reply, whats the biggest concern, that they will ask many questions on bonafide marriage?

They could ask whatever they want and however many questions. It depends what consulate/embassy you're going through. Some are more difficult than others.

Saylin,

yes my case was transferred to NSC 12/26/13 and got approved there, I do not know yet about the I-129, I will let you know if i am going for K3, thanks

Updated!

Help me pls anyone.my husbands joint sponsor which is my uncle filed his taxes jointly with his wife.is my aunt will nee to filled up an affidavit? If it is what form?pls help me.

Someone else just asked this question and I replied to them. Go back a few pages and find it.

Just sent my AOS packet today! Please update Saylin.

thanks.

Updated!

Saylin i hav a doubt regarding tax transcript!! We got married in 2013 n now we aleready got the irs for 2013 n in tat the status is single. U mentioned in the nvc process that its a problem in interview. My question is with this tax transcript is it a problem in nvc??

NVC probably won't care; they just care about the income. But, I'd suggest you get it amended in time for the interview, just in case.
