Such a good feeling to be going to the next step. it's just so interesting because we are almost exact same NVC dates for everything and then we both dreamed the same thing see ya on the case complete thread

As long as it's a US bank account there should not be any problems. just make sure to make the payment through internet explorer and not chrome.

Hi Gwenstar, we paid AOS fee from our US bank account on March 19th. We used chrome. Should we be worried as it says 'in progress'? It has been only three working days though.

For the NVC website the recommended browser is internet explorer because that it what they designed it for. But there are people on this thread that used chrome and were fine. I wouldn't worry - wait a another business day or two and you should know whether it went through or not. It took a few days of "processing" for me too.

Some people it failed and once they got that notification they could go back in and pay through IE. I would recommend making sure to use internet explorer when you pay the IV fee and you go to fill out the DS 260

Oh okay thank you! But if the joint-sponsor files a I-864, gives his IRS tax return transcripts and pay stubs, how could NVC know the income doesn't also come from the wife (doesn't show on the transcripts)? Could this lead to a checklist?

Apparently the transcripts identify the source of the income... if you were only to send in the tax returns you'd also include the W2, but with transcripts they state the W2 isn't required, so it must be evident on the transcript somewhere.

Okay I watch the case complete and interviews and run the case complete Interview thread and let me lay it out for you.

Now barring any issues or mistakes (checklists) delays its very highly likely.

This week starts scheduling for interviews for May.

Case complete by oh mid April you are in queue for June Interviews. And case complete Mid May puts you in queue for July.

Now note just because you have case complete doesn't mean you are going to get interview right away or that next month. There are thousands in the queue before you. So its a how many slots the embassy opens up that month and how many people to schedule.

So it boils down to get case complete down by end of April the sooner the better.

Thank you, dwheels, for the info so we can have a solid expectation and also a goal to achieve! Wishing for a case complete for me by the end of April...I will not waste even a minute on my part!

It was just shipped to the NVC yesterday I am praying it gets a case number and ships right down to Costa Rica .... My husband wants to make his medical appts on the same day since he lives so far from the city. Costa Rica will call him to come pick up the package. Once it is received by the embassy I'm going to call to see if they will email everything so we can get started. I don't want my husband to go pick up the package then have to drive back down to the city for appts . Gas is so expensive over there ....

I can't wait to get this thing moving
