If anyone cares: apparently a 20' Uhaul is too small for two people headbonk.gif So, there's going to be a big line of people driving to Fargo today to help hold more stuff: my husband's car, the Uhaul, my car, and then 2 pick-up trucks. Hope everything fits and makes it in one piece! laughing.gif

Time for me to go now. Gotta get dressed, lol, and pack up the remaining stuff. I'll probably be back sometime later this afternoon or night if we get around to finding a public WiFi spot tongue.png

Have letter of employment but it is dated January. Would it be ok to still use it, or should I get a new one from employer? I have all current paystubs from this year. Just wondering if the date on the letter will matter?

I have big confusion over sending the Original Indian Police clearance certi to NVC,,,,,,Please need some clarification based on experience at Mumbai consulate,,

As per Mumbai US consulate ,,applicant must have original PCC at time of interview....without that not allowed to enter,,check the link frm mumbai consulate ( http://photos.state.gov/libraries/mumbai/395145/pereirals/Packet4-Infosheet-IV.pdf )

Now i have only one original Indian PCC...which i have to send it to NVC with IV package documents,,,,i think we have to send the original one,,otherwise can get checklist query frm NVC....and case wont be completed without submiting original PCC..

So..i am the NVC stage ,,,ready to send IV civil documents....got big confusion over this,,becoz i read different info. some says we dont need to send original pcc to nvc frm india...some says u dont need original pcc at interview as nvc mailed all file at consulate..( but wht if they wont allow to interview without tht ) ...some says u get 2 originals....i have only one..do i have to apply another one....

Can People who passed from this stage...and had interview at mumbai consulate can provide true guidance over this ..

what did indian applicants did,,,,have you guys sent the original to nvc,,,,what happens at mumbai consulate,,,will they ask for original pcc ??

You dont send it to NVC. Keep it and take it to consulate. If NVC sends a checklist, call them and tell them that you will bring it to the interview. That should work. At the same time, try to get a copy of PCC just as a back up. From what i've read on VJ, not sending PCC to NVC has worked in past. Good luck.

hi all,

for IR2 visa, when submitting iv documents do i need to submit original and copy of marriage certificate of the beneficiary's mother to the USC step dad? Paid the iv bill today now getting the package together. Thank you.

PS-when we sent the i 130 we were required to sent a copy of the marriage certificate..

On my ipad so not totally sure if everything I "quoted". But YAY for the case completes - our timelines were so close and for once it actually makes sense to get approvals around the same time! Haha

Irra - I totally dreamed about this last nigh too - no joke! I dreamt I got the case complete but was so skeptical cuz.... well visa process. So I checked whatever paperwork (in my dream) a bunch of times and the. Got super excited.

Rick rant and iamwhatiam- you have to be so close to completes. Stoked for you

I know all of us on this thread have had a long journey and I hope that things continue to keep moving along. This part was way shorter than than the NOA1 to NOA2.

And as far as checklists - I got one saying they didn't get my IV package after my AOS was accepted (and freaked out and called them twice to confirm it was false).

Lowered expectations....

Anyhow, THANKYOU to everyone for input, support, PMs and all of everything - especially Saylin for keeping this thread on track.

You are supposed to ask for two police certificates (in addition to two documents, they will also stamp your passport ) at the PSK.

You send out the first one

and the other you keep with you for the appointment

Because of this confusion, I asked my wife to get 2 PCC from the Regional Passport Office in Kolkata. They also stamped her passport. She sent one to me to be included with the IV package to NVC. The other PCC she is keeping with her to be shown to the guard at US Consulate, Mumbai.

Oh okay thank you! But if the joint-sponsor files a I-864, gives his IRS tax return transcripts and pay stubs, how could NVC know the income doesn't also come from the wife (doesn't show on the transcripts)? Could this lead to a checklist?

He is a US citizen, lived in the UK, now moved back to the US. I am French, we met in 2010 in the UK and got married in March 2013 in France.

-2013-04-22: NOA1 (Case transferred on 12/04) -2014-02-07: NOA2 -2014-02-24: Case received at NVC (Case # received on 03/27) -2014-03-29: DS-261 completed -2014-03-31: AOS fee paid (shown as PAID on 04/02, package sent on 04/03) -2014-04-04: IV fee paid (shown as PAID on 04/08, package sent on 04/05) -2014-04-08: DS-260 completed online -2014-04-14: AOS & IV packages received at NVC (entered in the system on 04/17 and 04/18) -2014-05-05: AOS checklist (phone), joint-sponsor's proof of citizenship lost (other copy arrived at NVC on 05/08, NVC "received" the checklist response on 05/09)
-2014-05-09: IV package accepted
-2014-06-04: Case complete
-2014-06-11: Interview scheduled (July 23rd - APPROVED)
-2014-08-01: Visa in hand
-2014-08-04: POE

- 2016-05-05: CRI-89 - Petition to remove conditions sent

- 2016-05-10: NOA received

- 2016-06-13: Biometrics
