called nvc

told her its close to a month since i filled Ds261 and iv is still not invoiced, she said , Due to backlog u have to 30more days

what the hell, cray5ol.gifcray5ol.gif

Try calling them and saying that can they assign to supervisor. Mine took a month also and I kept on annoying them and said can you get me a supervisor because it has taken so long. After I did that it took a week and now I have my invoice paid.

Hello all,

I am preparing to file for my spouse. Only have coupe questions:

1- I have an attachment to form G-325A, do I mention that in the cover letter checklist?

2- My spouse's address in our marriage certificate was incorrect. Specifically the house number. We could not get it amended, so my father-in-law has gotten an affidavit mentioning the mistake in the certificate and the correct address. I have used the correct address in our forms. DO I MENTION THIS AFFIDAVIT IN THE COVER LETTER CHECKLIST AND DO I NEED TO WRITE A LETTER EXPLAINING THE CASE TOO?

Thank you for responses!

This thread is for those with APPROVED I-130 petitions. You're in the wrong place :P Doesn't look like there's a March 2014 I-130 filers thread yet, so you can start one ;)

Saylin, please add me to your spreadsheet. I certainly appreciate it!!!

Added!

Quick question which i can't figure out with advanced googling in VJ: if you send pay stubs with the AoS - should they be original or copies? Thanks!

Either or. But, most people keep originals for their own records ;)

Tax transcripts, entire tax returns, and pay stubs can all be copies. The only original documents needed in the AOS package is the form itself and an employment letter.

Hi everyone...we got our I-130 approved on Feb 27th , and same day status update showed our papers were shipped to NVC. When should i start following up with them ? . Also , i have been looking at the thread , and had few questions ,

1.Is their a min bank balance we should show when filling AOS ? i am currently pursuing my MBA fulltime , hence my income is 0.

2.Packet IV , most of the documents we had already submitted when we sent our package to USCIS , do we need to resubmit it again ?

Thanks , and i hope NVC is faster in their timelines compared to USCIS smile.png

1. Doesn't matter what your balance is (unless you're qualifying on assets).

2. Yes. USCIS =/= NVC

hi Saylin,

i am concern if this will raise any red flag on the DS-260

I am living in CA but my wife will be staying with my parents in IL, will the CO question/concern why we will live in different addresses? the green card will be mail to my parents address as well in IL and hopefully i will move back with my parents by the end of summer, my wife should get her interview in late April or early May.

thanks,

Your wife my get asked about it at the interview, yes. If she brings proof you're moving by the end of the summer, that'd help. Is there a reason she won't be staying with you?

Yep! I had the same experience as you, it wasn't available when I first checked around 8am, but appeared randomly a few hours later. So that's sorted and now I'm checking for the AOS fee compulsively. I have the AOS paperwork sitting next to me and I keep rereading it as though the numbers will have changed themselves while I'm not looking laughing.gif Gotta be sure...

Haha - this is exactly what I am doing right now when I should be working! If I knew where to send the AOS, I would have it addressed as well, but instead my envelope is sitting beside my AOS at work so that I can run to the post office if I can pay it today lol. This darn packet accompanies me everywhere!

Saylin,

is just that i live in CA by myself, no family, no relatives plus i work long hours so i figure it is better for my wife to stay with my parents in IL, where all my cousins, relative can help her get use to the new environment, culture and she will feel less homesick.

don't know what to do now if it does indeed raise red flags.

As others have stated, if you want to receive correspondence from NVC by email, then you'll have to contact them and give over all email addresses.

But, before I email them I need to wait for my case number to be generated, correct?? Thank you.
