And NVC do not have any more further information.

I heard that this samething happened with one more guy in VJ.

Who was that guy?

Unfortunaetly you will not be told why. You will get the run around and it could take weeks to months. I have a friend who went through this last year.

She was actually waiting for case complete at NVC and their petition was requested back at USCIS. It took from September to December to finally get her petition back to NVC. And guess what all her documents the ORIGINALS her AOS her IV package all gone. So she had to start all over taking months she finally got case complete in February and got a April interview and all turned out okay. They just lost alot of time.

When she called USCIS they said nothing. Many speculated it could be a missing paper USCIS forgot to attach (Highly unlikely).

Really sorry all you can do is stay on top of it keep calling and keep an eye on your petition and i pray you have a duplicate copy just in case.

Have to comment... FYI, Make copies.. of everything and when you go to Embassy have copies of everything.. wife had interview... they could not find wife's application 260, said they could not interview her but had daughters... she searched in paperwork for confirmation... they found confirmation and copies of everything because of being prepared... after that it was 15 minutes to approval...

Thanks.... I hope it works out.

Unfortunately, the TSC is slower than a snail. I wonder if if depends on what day of the month your file gets approved since they send the files over in batches to the NVC ? Do they transfer files twice a month? once a week? or when they reach 500 to a batch? The letter I received from TSC the day after I was approved said my file was at the NVC. I'm not dumb enough to believe it is already there... I wonder if it says it was shipped in their system?

Dont think too much about it. the more you think, the more the frustration.

The more I read about this step the more I get confused and anxious . Our case has been approved march 18 and received the notice of action by mail two days later. I'm wondering how long does this step usually take ? It's been 10 months since we applied ... Two months ? Or more?

The NVC step takes about 2 months.

Less two weeks if you've got an attorney.

Interview scheduling can take up to 1 more month.

Grant of visa depends on the country/consulate in question.

They may put you into Administrative processing (not for everyone and no one knows why people get picked for this) - that will take another 1-8 months depending on your individual circumstances.

Did anyone received at the NVC 3/12-3/15 get a case num this week ?

NVC received my file on 3/12 and I called today and they confirmed that they haven't received it and talks about the same phrase ' wait 30 working days'.

I know i sound over optimistic but would have been great to get the NVC # around this time.

Case Complete 19th March!! After 19 months since we first submitted the petition to the USCIS the light at the end of this crazy long tunnel is getting a bit brighter!

Now waiting for the Interview to be scheduled, anyone know if the Sydney Consulate is backed up for interview times?
