Everyday I lose a little hope that a checklist response will come faster than an initial packet review. One operator told me that if the checklist wasn't substantial (mine wasn't), that they review those quicker sad.png.

I feel you pain, I just got off the phone with NVC and my checklist hasn't been review yet... I had the hope this was my week,.. but I guess not!

Last night the NVC sent back responses to my wife and I's e-filed supporting documents stating they got them for our case and to wait 20 business days for a response. I had originally submitted them all on March 3, so that's about two weeks worth of business days before they received them.

So close!

Wow, that's another long wait! Did you send both packages in thru one email?

my attorney paid the AOS and IV bill on Monday (3/17/2014), i checked online today and it shows PAID on both. Yehey! Unfortunately though for Manila, Philippines, we won't be able to do EP as what I understand while checking the eligibility online. So hoping that my attorney have sent all the necessary documents (AOS package and IV package) by today or by tomorrow. If sent tomorrow Friday, how long does it take for NVC to receive both packages? and how long does it take for NVC to review both packages?

Hi Saylin,

I got approved for my wife and daugher, since I have two cases (2 I-130s), do I get two case number from NVC and have to do everything twice (AOS, IV pachage) or they are going to combine them into one case (one case number) and I just have to send everything once..thanks

Every case has its own case numbers and needs its own package. So, you'll be sending two AOS packages and two IV packages. If the cases are joined though, you'll only need to pay one AOS fee and you can send the same packages together in the same envelope.

I am sure someone asked already, but I can't find it:

I did send ENROLL email, then paid my AOS and emailed the AOS package on March 10th. Only 4 days later (on March 14th) I got my ENROLL confirmation and another ENROLL confirmation email yesterday for some reason...

The guide was updated on March 14th saying not to send the packages before getting ENROLL confirmation. Should I resend AOS package? I called NVC, but of course did not get any clear answer except some "blablabla everything is good", the operator clearly had no idea what I was talking about.

Yes, it'd be a good idea to re-send it. Just mention in the body of the email that you originally submitted the AOS package on March 10th and you're re-sending due to being accepted into EP on March 14th.

Hello!

I live in Brazil and I got approved Marchm 14th at USCIS. Next step is NVC.

My concerns are:

1 - As I am in Brazil and I will have to mail all original documents to the US, I would like to speed the process and be safe with my original documents. Can I OPT IN to Electronic Processing at NVC being in Brazil??

2- My husband and I got married in Brazil and lived here together until April, 2013, when he moved back there to work while waiting for my green card. He came back in February because the process is taking too long. Well, my second question is: He will be my sponsor in the Affidavit of Support, therefore he will fill out form I-864EZ. The problem is he did not have any income in the US in 2011 and 2012 because he was living with me in Brazil. He only had income in 2013, which is plenty to support me (over 20K) and it is over the poverty guideline. He does not have any paychecks for current year (2014) as he is back to Brazil to wait for the green card with me. He has the past 3 years income taxes OKAY, but only the last has income. Will there be any problem with that? Will only his support be enough for my application? Will the person interviewing me ask and require current job/income (2014)?

3 - Does NVC accept criminal records taken from the internet? Can I take the signed ones to the interview only?

Thank you so far for your help! I hope this process can go very quick!

1. No, Brazil isn't an eligible country.

2. If he doesn't have current income and only has income from 2013 in the past 3 years, yes, a joint sponsor will be required.

3. Not that I know of. Send the original in the IV package.

question: should wife openly disclose at interview that we are related as cousins. i read through all of these threads on VJ website but found conflicting answers bout the whole situation:

https://www.google.com/search?q=cousin+marriage+ir1/cr1+site:www.visajourney.com&biw=1366&bih=639

Since we are in the ir/cr1 and got married where its allowed, Im thinking it really shouldn't be an issue because form 130 (for spouse visa) doesnt ask if you are related unlike the 129f for fiance visa that specifically asks for it.

to prove its a bonafide marriage i have emails, phone logs, pics, finances, affidavits, etc.

maybe i will start a new thread in general discussion so that others can also be informed if in this boat

i know this issue may be uncomfortable for some, but from the M.E., its totally part of our culture

any thoughts

Unless they ask a question about it, don't bother bringing it up.

Please update timeline, AOS send 03/19/2014rolleyes.gif

Updated.

Just received IV BIll and paid it...yay! Saylin, would you add me to the spreadsheet as I dont believe I have asked yet...thank you smile.png

Added!
