Got our case completed!!! Got back from a long vacation and finally called NVC and they told me that my wife is scheduled for her interview on April 14th!!! dancin5hr.gif

im new to this process...how long did it take for the whole thing to happen? BTW congrats :)

Thanks.... I hope it works out.

Unfortunately, the TSC is slower than a snail. I wonder if if depends on what day of the month your file gets approved since they send the files over in batches to the NVC ? Do they transfer files twice a month? once a week? or when they reach 500 to a batch? The letter I received from TSC the day after I was approved said my file was at the NVC. I'm not dumb enough to believe it is already there... I wonder if it says it was shipped in their system?

Gosh they BS so much but you know what...hold them to their words. Verify with NVC and call them again and say it is not there and u said it should be...if it is not there

Ivy, the NVC Filer forum "rolls" every month. You usually join when you get your NOA2. At the end of March, Saylin starts the April thread, and deactivates the March one. Come on board!

Sukie

Oh I did not know this will get deactivated. Thanks for the explanation. Well, here I am. I feel like I graduated (I-130 July Filers Thread) lol biggrin.png Edited by Ivy.

To my fellow indians and anyone else who can help with this question...

I got a checklist from NVC today stating this

______10 - PASSPORT POLICE CERTIFICATE:____________________________
Indian Police Clearance Certificates should be obtained as follows:
• All Indian IV applicants aged 16 and above, residing in India, should obtain police
certificates from the local Passport Office.
• Indian passport holders applying for visas outside India should obtain a statement from their
local embassy or consulate confirming they have no criminal record.
• Non-Indian IV applicants residing in India should obtain police certificates from the District
Police Station serving their area of residence.
• Indian police certificates are not available for foreign (non-Indian) applicants applying
outside India.
I did not send in the PCC in my IV packet because the Vadodara Office would not give it without a checklist. After receiving this checklist today, I called NVC on two separate occasions, and I was told the same that, If Mumbai Consulate is going to handle my case, I don't need to provide a PCC to NVC. They say that the beneficiary can bring this to the interview. Anyone here can confirm this?
Would it be worth while for my wife to obtain the PCC tomrrow and send me a scan of it and just mail NVC a scanned copy? Will that accomplish anything?
Please advice.....

Don't know what to do since I really don't have anyone to co-sponser for us. Should I just wait little bit to have more money save in my bank account?

Family: Just me and him so that's 2

My current income is: $13,969.44

My assets (bank savings): $20,348.20 (which increasing every month with my pay)

Hi,

according to the information I have 125% of 2014 poverty guidelines for two people is: $19,663.

You have $13,969.44 in income and another 6782.73 from your bank savings (assets of petitioner are counted at 1/3 value, according to VJ Wiki). That puts you at 20,752.17 total. That should be enough based on this math, but if you were already informed you do not meet the requirements, you really need a co-sponsor. :(

Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

I got the same checklist that my income was insufficient. I don't have any income and just did the 864 based on assets - the NVC rep I spoke to said income is weighed more heavily, so as long as you have a consistent 13 grand plus those assets, you should be fine. The directions for the 864 explain this - whatever your poverty guideline is, if you are under, subtract your income from the pg and whatever number you get multiply by 5 - that gives you the number you should have in assests in order to qualify. Hope this helps!

Yea calculated this up over and over to make sure I was above with income and assets when I filled out I-864 before I sent it in. I'm a bit over $2,500

19,663 -13,969.44= 5,693.56 x 3= $17,080.68

Yay, awesome good.gif

And I didn't think you could expedite until you had case numbers. You can always call NVC up and ask!

I think we could expedite without case number..

I asked this info to NvC this morning and they told me to email all below information to them.

1) MSC number.

2) Beneficiary and petitionary name, Address and birthdate

3) Reason for expedite and attach all available proof.

if your expedite get approve than you will have your case numbers quickly.

Send NVC to scanned copy and let them know that your wife will bring original copy to Mumbai.
