Oh man! Congratulations Nobby and to your family!! I hope you get a quick interview date at the Lima Embassy!

Congrats!!!!!!

I was wondering how you are doing.

I guess they reviewed your corrected forms quick smile.png

Thanks!! Yeah I know there was another error on my I-864 but the checklist did not ask me about it and they were approved. I'll still probably take a corrected I-864 to the interview since I'll probably have to update with 2013 taxes. But it does show that the NVC can overlook things!

Would you mind explaining the abbreviations used above? What is a PAOSF? and what is the NEOPOST DS-1200 email? Thanks in advance!

I am very grateful to see these screenshots you've posted! I like to see what's coming with such clarity.

It is the affidavit of support invoice that is emailed to you.

Shortly after receiving this your AOS status in CEAC will change

from " not available " to " not paid "

You are then able to click "pay" and enter your routing and checking

account info and submit the $88 fee as a debit.

More screen shots to follow. Takes time to photoshop out my info.

Quick question for those who have filled out DS-260 recently or have it available right now..

For previous addresses do the instructions mention to only list "places you have lived at least six months since 16"? The older DS-230 form does state this, but the screenshot and google doc version of DS-260 I've seen doesn't clearly state this.

I am trying to figure out if it's necessary to state the address of the place where my wife and I stayed for about 7 weeks after our wedding.

Thanks.

I filled out my DS260 about a month ago.

You will need to put that address because the online form does not allow you to have time gaps.

And remember, when you click add more address button, it only adds at the last. You cannot add in between addresses nor switch around addresses you already typed.

Also, it does not save until the page is filled completely.

I wanted to save in middle of fryping 15 addresses, but it didn't let me do it...

saylin, i have an attorney, can i still sign in on the payment portal just to see if it shows paid for the aos and iv bill?

Yes.

whats the average time to get a response on an expedite at the nvc???

ro respond to my email???? set to the nvc expedite

It varies by consulate/embassy.

OMG I got a shout out mention. I feel so Hollywood. hehe. Thank you sweetie.luv.gif

Hehe, no problem whatsoever ^_^

Hi Saylin,

I was wondering if you could help me understand something on I-864, I am getting confused with Part 3 question on i-864. Before I begin, my household size includes me and my wife only and we both work. Now I applied for both my parents and both I-130 got approved and currently awaiting for NVC #s at the NVC phase. I am also aware that I would have to fie 2 separate I-864 (and I-864A) for each parent.

Under Part 3 (Information on the Principal Immigrant)

1. I am going to check this box as YES

2. Will I be checking this box? It says that do not include any relative listed on a separate visa petition but then instructions also mention about Spouse and/or Children so I feel like I should check this box and then mention my mother's (or my father depending on whose I-864 I am filling out). If I select this then I need to fill out 2(a,b

,c,d,e and f)

7 If I fill 2 then my I will have to out 2 as total number of immigrants.

Part5: Sponsor's Household Size

I think I should have 4 as total household size. 2 for me and my wife and 2 for my immigrating dad and mom.

I feel like these two questions are throwing me off because I am reading contradicting statements on different websites. If I dont mention the second intending immigrant in 2 then my household siZe will be 3 which I feel is incorrect.

Thanks in advance for any and all the help.

For 2, looking at what it says, you would think you wouldn't mention the other parent (as they have their own petition), but when you get to the household size, like you mentioned, 3 doesn't sound right. Perhaps in your case, it'd be best to fill out 2 with the other parent's info, then fill in the household section with 4. Hopefully, that won't generate a checklist. Sorry I couldn't be definitive on this one laughing.gif

I call dibs on "Saylara" if I ever have a girl! Perfectly named after the two people from whom I learned a great deal while on the I-130 stage (Kaylara) and NVC stage (Saylin). idea9dv.gif

You can't re-submit a DS-261. It's just a false checklist based on them reviewing your AOS.

The checklist you provided though is real. Unless it's asking for an entire package or one of the online forms, then it's a real checklist.

I have an attorney, how do I go about filling “choice of agent” form and AOS , IV fees? Thanks guys

You don't file a DS-261 with a lawyer on the case. The lawyer is automatically selected as agent. The AOS and IV bills will be invoiced at the same time.

Good day!!. energy.gif

We are on IV stage, my husband received an invoice and made a online payment last March 7, 2014 but until now the status is still "In Process" as of march 18, 2014. And we already sent the IV packet prior to DS-260 (because DS-260 is not yet available until this time).

How come it takes a long time to get in "Paid Status" and DS-260 to be available?

Please Help Thank You So Much....

Definitely call NVC and ask about that as it should have shown as PAID by now. It's only supposed to take a couple business days, so that's way out of the normal time frames.

Both my fee weren't invoiced at the same time :/ i thought if you had a lawyer NVC would bypass the DS-261 and go ahead and invoice both fees. Yesterday when i went out to the lawyer's office, she filled out the DS-261. Im just curious because i want my iv invoiced ASAP! tongue.png maybe she didn't fill out the G-28 during our USCIS stage? hmmm

Hmm, that's odd. If a lawyer is attached to the case (properly), no DS-261 is generated as the lawyer is automatically selected as agent. Either someone went wrong when something was inputting the case, or there was some kind of error with the G-28. At this point, there's really nothing you can do and just continue with the normal process.

Just got off phone with NVC..kicking.gif .Doing the happy dancedancin5hr.gif ...Received Case #, IIN, and BIN....woo hoo

Congrats!!

your right ms.saylin its a true checklist since their asking for us to correct some parts in the I-864 form. with the DS-261 checklist, my husband called them today and asked about the delay with my IV invoiced considering the fact that we did it feb 18 and our son has his IV bill already invoice. so the guy he spoke to put him on hold and got back on him after 30 mins and his saying he just talked to his supervisor and we will receive an email tonight about the things that we need to accomplished. that's the time we received this AOS checklist together with the mail requesting me to complete the DS-261. what do you think about this DS-261 filling again ms.saylin?

If you can get back into the DS-261 and re-submit it, go for it. But that makes no sense to me if they already have it.

saylin, Thank you for updating spread sheet with my new infosmile.png

No problem ^_^
