1.Can beneficiary call NVC for case number , IIN and beneficiary ID number? If yes, How can I reach out NVC from India. Whats the cheapest way? Is there any one from India have got such experiences?

2. My husband was unemployed in 2011. We have our 2011, 2012,2013 tax papers ready for AOS. Does that affect our AOS process? Do we need joint sponser?

1. For the first part of your question, yes the beneficiary can call the NVC for that information.
2. Does his current income meet or surpass the requirements? If so, then a joint sponsor will probably not be necessary.

Thank you. His current income does meet the requirement. But I need to know whats the cheapest way to call NVC from India. It would be great if anyone from India shares their experiences and advice me on that.

If you are using any IOS or Android device, an application called "Magic Jack" is available which is free to download. It provide free calls to any US numbers..

How much are the two bills? And how do I pay them? From (FAQ)

The AOS costs $88 (per case) and the IV is $230 (per person). They have to be paid with a US banking account on the payment portal (site linked in first post). Question: 1. As i know only petitioner or Agent (appointed with DS-261) can pay AOS and IV bills right ? Is anybody who can pay more ?

2. Here is said bill must be paid with a US banking account, so it means petitioner must have US located bank's account (debit/credit card )? If it is such and petitioner doesn't have USA located Bank account what can we do ?

It will work with any internet connection. First you try with your current 2G connection and see the call clarity. If it is not good, then try for 3G.. I prefer 3G because my provider's 2G is not that great..

i think anyone can pay the AOS and IV bills. My hubby (petitioner) used his sister's bank account to pay my bills and it was accepted.

It does not matter who pays the two bills, as long as they come out of a US based bank account.

Please note that I was told my email address had already been assigned from the USCIS case file, so I did not have to give them my email address. I was told that the choice of agent instructions will arrive at that email address within 10-20 business days.

Also, I was given a case number, but the operator didn't mention an IIN. Is everyone receiving those together these days? Should I have pushed for whether an IIN was assigned?

You are correct. The operator only gave me the Case #. But upon asking she gave me the IIN.

Also, my email was already with them. She read it out for me. I only gave her the beneficiary email ID. Then she read it back to me. I have not received any email from NVC till date. However, the DS261 became available the next day and I have submitted it the same day. The AOS fee invoice became available the following day and I have submitted the fee the same day (3/13). It is still In Process. Not showing as PAID yet.

Hi All

Approved March 10, 2014, got mail March 14, 2014. Today called NVC that they rec my file or not but still they didnt rec. Think they will rec end of this week, what you people think?
