I haven't tried it on a different computer yet...but i will tomorrow..sad.png I hate random problems..... anyways could you pretty please add me to the spreadsheet?

Added. Since you don't have a signature though, when was your case number assigned? Also, since timelines don't show transfers, was your I-130 approved from NBC or was it transferred at some point?

Do you think it's possible to get NVC case approved and an interview date before April 15, 2014?

NOA2 on March 12, 2014

Didn't get a case number yet.

Not unless you get an expedite, and even then, probably not.

NOA2 on March 12, 2014

Didn't get a case number yet.

Unfortunately no, unless perhaps you had an expedited case. The first thing you need to check is the date NVC receives your case. You will need to call them. From that date, it's been taking 20-30 business days to get a case number. With the case number, you'll be able to submit your DS261 (Change of Agent/Address), pay the I-864 fee, and submit your Affidavit of Support (AOS) supporting docs. After 1-2 weeks from filing DS261, you'll be able to pay fees, submit the DS-260 fee and submit the Immigrant Visa (IV) supporting docs. It's been taking 20 business days for NVC to review the AOS and IV materials, and they are reviews separately.

There's a wonderful resource at the main page of this forum, with great info, that Saylin put together. Check it out! I'll see if I put the link on my signature. Hang on!

Hi Saylin! My husband already submitted AOS I-864EZ that includes taxes 2012, 2011 and 2010 and W2s last March 6. He told me since he's getting a refund and he's not paying anything so he was thinking of filling when I get to US when I have my SSN. Refunds can be done until 2017. Someone mentioned in the thread that the interview will be scheduled after April 15th if 2013 taxes wasn't filed yet. (well, I also read on your Post 1 and 2). My questions are: Is it true that in the embassy, they will look for 2013 taxes and updated I-864 AOS? And if I was not able to present those I will not be granted a visa?

If my current year income is below poverty line but last yrs income is way above poverty line, will there be a problem? I don't want to give in 2013 tax return sad.png

Current income is not 2013 income.

Current income is what you make currently. If paid hourly it is $$/hr x hrs per week x 52 weeks (or however many you work in a year.)

If the AOS or interview is after April 15, 2014, you likely will have to submit 2013 taxes to either the NVC or embassy/consulate.

He'll have to file an extension, then the extension letter can be brought to the interview.

Yes, do not send any files until you have the GZO number and until the appropriate track indicates "PAID" in the payment portal.

Majority of importance is given to current income.

After that 2013 tax return and so forth. It would not matter if you made a billion dollars in 2010 if you didn't have any of it left for assets and were currently unemployed.
