In regards to the below tax info. I sent 2012 as my most recent year. I know my husband will have an interview AFTER April 14th. If I still have not filed my 2013 taxes can I just send him with my 2013 W2 and a copy of my request for extension on my taxes?



Do I have to file 2013 taxes before I can fill out the I-864 form?



No. Up until April 14th (tax deadline), you can still use 2012 as the most recent year. If for whatever reason you want to use 2013 as the most recent year instead (due to whatever reason), then yes, you can use 2013 as the most recent year as well. Both are valid options.



Keep in mind though: if you submit 2012 tax information as the most recent year and then your interview is scheduled after April 14th, 2013 tax information WILL be required at the interview.

Yes, an extension letter should be sufficient for them.

She confirmed my email, I guess they already had it on file? Also gave my mom's phone number just in case (can't use my international one).

what tax transcripts are recommended?

do the ones you get online and can print off count as original, or do we have to get it by mail to count as original document?

Transcripts never needed to be "original" to send in the AOS package. And they're not even really "originals" in that sense as it's merely just a print-out on their end. What you get online is the same as if you waited 1-2+ weeks for the mailed version.

Got those too and now I am getting the: this case is in process of termination thing on the payment page...guess that means they are invoicing the AOS :)

Finally received a case number! Another step in the right direction. The customer service associate said it could be up to 20 business days before we receive an email with instructions, but I'm fairly sure it won't be that long.

Just got off the phone with them and we got ours as well! They did the same thing and confirmed my email address and asked for my wife's. Today is a good day.
