I called nvc on Monday 3/10 and the rep told me it takes 30 days! Thank god I called today and the lady told me the case was completed on 3/11!! My eyes got all watery when she told me that!!

It was strange that I received the false checklist on 3/10 and case was completed the next day.

She couldn't tell me when the interview date but the case will be shipped out soon.

Congrats!!! kicking.gifkicking.gifkicking.gif

I chose to do electronic processing so that I did not have to mail my documents to the NVC, not necessarily to save time. It has always taken the NVC 2 weeks to respond to emails.

I had my documents scanned before the NVC process ever began. What else would you do during the wait time??? I never understand why people do not know exactly what is going to happen at the NVC and how or why they don't have their packages together before they even get to the NVC. My husband slowed everything down with his AOS documentation even though I bugged him about it, but it likely only changed my interview date by a few days at most.

It is a good idea to nicely suggest to Saylin to add the part in her wiki about not sending until the ENROLL is accepted. I know there are posts on the subject, as I've written some of them and in her wiki she includes an OPTIN acceptance letter (when it was OPTIN not ENROLL).

Please only hit post once.

MFJ requires an ITIN or SSN. MFS only requires NRA in the SSN spot. BOTH require you to postal mail the return.

I agree, we had all of our stuff together in June 2013 since we initially filed in April 2013. That was so long ago that our police report is nearly expired. haha

Hey Guys,

I agree with Christopher. I read and reread everything and didnt see this in the EP section. Also, I just checked my email after sending it again. I got an automated response this time. So go figure. Perhaps my first one was never received. And maybe it was. I just dont want to take a chance. For all the people that miss their loved ones so much or are super paranoid - I suggest the snail mail route.

I cant wait to have the discussion with my wife about submitting the DS-260 and scanning her docs- yeah right!

Good luck everybody

Well now I am even more hopeless. I sent mine again (yesterday) just like you did and I still have not received either of the two messages (do not respond or please allow 20 days to process.) I don't know what to do.

I can't wait to post the same good news! Congrats!! Very happy for both of you luv.gif

Wow 37 business days from case # to case complete....congrats to you...dancin5hr.gif

Thanks for the congratulation messages, I never looked at the timeline as 37 business days but now I think of it that way it was pretty quick. I think our file arrived at NVC before the deluge of I-130 packages from USCIS after they upped their game and started processing/approving I-130's with a vengeance!!! Hopefully you will hear some news soon.

Hi Everyone,

Just got off the phone to NVC and got told case complete as off 11th March - Whoo Hoo!! Told the lady I spoke to that she had made our day!! Called the wife and gave her the good news - so happy!!! No Checklists at all!!!

One thing the lady did tell me is that we have to wait for an interview to be scheduled which I understand, but she did add that the London Embassy is still scheduling April interview slots!! So hopefully we should get a late April or early May slot!!! Which is fantastic news!!

Good Luck to everyone and I hope you get a speedy and easy passage through the NVC phase.

Well, what I have noticed that they take 15-16 business days. Plus now they are working on Saturdays to make the process faster (as per another VJ member).

I hope your right. I was hoping for a case complete for my birthday. 3-20. But I don't think so. Another member just received cc in 37 biz days. If that would be my case then it would be 3-31. Our anniversary is 4-1. I'd be happy for a nice anniversary present! I got a bit excited when I saw a member got cc the day after a false checklist. The sooner the better. It would be nice if we could get an early May interview! Good luck!

My case was transferred to TSC on December 18th or so.

Updated.

Remind me never to call NVC again on a Friday night @11pm. I was on hold for 35 minutes dead.gif (longest wait so far). However, they did have a case number for both my wife and daughter since yesterday, yay!

Hi Saylin,

Now that I have a few more dates under my belt, would you be so kind to add me to your spreadsheet? Thank you!!

Added!
