ok I called and as I was expecting it was false checklist. They asked to disregard it.

I asked how about the AOS package and she said that is fine. Means its accepted and reviewed

Should I trust that?

hi, need help

Iam was going to file married filling separate but realized if i file married jointly i will save a lot of money more than 2k

so my wife is sending me W7 signed and copy of passport from issuing place,

this w7 , do i insert in my income taxes,

or do i send it to a certain place and they will assign a number and give me paper conforming and i use that paper for filling tax return

which one is correct,

please let me know

thanks

You can expedite to process if you do as I did. My Accountant is a Acceptance Agent (AA) authorized by the IRS.

They took the W-7 and my wife (beneficiary) documentation and faxed it directly to the IRS.

Given the current delays with processing returns it was the quickest path to still be able to E file.

Memory? I am doing EP and attached each document seperate lay and named correctly

Hah! I am on my mobile and did not see that previous post before I submitted this. LOL. We must have gotten that notice at the same time. Hehe. I will call and follow up as well. Whew glad I'm not the only one

DS260 asks for ALL addresses since the age of 16. This basically includes anywhere you have received mail, went to school for a semester - they ask for all addresses. The dates have to align and go back to the age of 16 or it will not let you continue to the next page.

It was a real pain for us - my husband had 19 previous addresses....total nightmare tracking all of that information down. Also, they must be added in order from most recent back to age 16 - there is no way to re-order the list in case you missed one. I recommend having them all written down in detail before you begin entering them into the system. Learned that the hard way blink.png I thought I had them all, but somehow one was missed and I had to reenter a lot of information. oops!

Thanks for your reply. smile.png Did you have a chance to look at the document link in my post ? It only show 3 slots for address.

So I guess it does not accurately reflect what you saw on the screen. cray5ol.gif

Thanks for your help. Was just trying to authenticate the DS-260 (2014 version) that was posted on another thread.

We and all that come after us could use an updated version from the 2009 to prepare ahead of time.

At some point Ill get a case number.....dancin5hr.gif and capture it myself and post it.

I sent in my Aos and Iv packets already, I filled out the I864 and sent my tax returns from 2010,2011&2012 along with my joint sponsers info. So you are suggesting that when my husband goes to the interview he should bring the letter from me and my joint sponsers taxes from 2013 plus an updated I864? Thanks for your help smile.png

Yes. If the interview is after April 15th, that is precisely what you should do. :)

Yeah, I just submitted the ds260 last week and so I am confident that is asks back to age 16. I was not able to screen capture because I was using my work computer - but i know it would have been helpful to others. That would be awesome if you are able to do that - I know it would be incredibly helpful to everyone going through this. Would de-mystify at least that step! I think it helped me feel much less stressed when I knew what I needed going through the different stages.

Hope you get to the next step fast and everything goes smoothly!!! :)

The DS-260...

exact address from every place you have lived since age 16.

For adults, you do not need to write any other address before age 16 and ONLY start at age 16. If you didn't, and already submitted it, don't worry. It's a VERY VERY minor issue. You won't get denied and you likely will not get a checklist.

So I have a question that I haven't seen come up in this thread.

I have sent a total of 3 packages to the NVC: my AOS package on 2/08, a corrected I-864 for the AOS on 2-12 (because I noticed a mistake), and the IV package on 2-21.

The NVC has received 3 package from me on the dates of 2/18, 2/26, and 3/5 (they can't tell me what each package is but I assumed my packages were received in order)

I received a checklist for AOS on 3/6 and a false checklist for the IV package on 3/10.

However, I just got off the phone with the NVC to confirm the false checklist. The lady told me that they are just waiting for the IV package to be reviewed, and that my financial information was "ok". She said that both my submissions from 2/18 and 3/05 had been reviewed, and that the package from 2/26 was still pending review. If that is true, that would mean that my IV package was received on 2/26 and my corrected I-864 was received on 3/05, even though I sent the IV package 9 days after I sent the corrected I-864.

I know that was probably really confusing but, has anything similar happened to anyone else??
