No expedites...even we were surprised. We just called to see if our case reached NVC and they told us "it arrived yesterday and here is your case number". I hope this is a sign that processing times are improving. smile.png

Thank You.

Some pay stubs are double-sided. I will copy and print them again. smile.png

Wow!!! How lucky you are! Congrats!... Maybe it is a sign idea9dv.gif

Ok so now that I have seen the new DS-260 from that link posted a few pages back, are they just wanting the last 3 addresses lived or is it still since age 16?

My reading of it is they want the three previous addresses before your present address.

I have not reached this stage yet. Found this link on another thread frommember "iamatemple"

who appears to have saved it when access was gained to the system in late Jan 2014.

I have noted differences between this one and the 2009 version.

Hopefully someone from this thread who has accessed the system will authenticate this smile.png

Here is the link again to the DS-260 2014-Version. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0ByW6p0PzShCNQlQ3V2FDZHBDWmM/edit?usp=sharing

Here is the thread I obtained it from http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/480038-ds-260-blank-2014-version-here/

DS260 asks for ALL addresses since the age of 16. This basically includes anywhere you have received mail, went to school for a semester - they ask for all addresses. The dates have to align and go back to the age of 16 or it will not let you continue to the next page.

It was a real pain for us - my husband had 19 previous addresses....total nightmare tracking all of that information down. Also, they must be added in order from most recent back to age 16 - there is no way to re-order the list in case you missed one. I recommend having them all written down in detail before you begin entering them into the system. Learned that the hard way blink.png I thought I had them all, but somehow one was missed and I had to reenter a lot of information. oops!

At the end of the DS260 there is a question regarding "did anyone assist you in filling out this form". I filled it out for my husband, so I just entered my information there.

Thanks Gwenstar ??that's what I did ?

I could not find a straightforward answer on this one.... I ended up using my name the petitioner/sponsor on the I-864 documents since my I signed it and it is my information. For the DS260 supporting docs I used my husbands/beneficiary name. Since there is already the case number on each PDF, it just seemed to make sense??? I don't know though. Crossing my fingers it isn't an issue.

I feel like at the end of the day, the case number is there and our file has both of our names.

You send the entire tax package with the W7 to a specific address for ITIN generation. Once the ITIN has been generated, they'll forward it to the main IRS department and they'll process your tax return as normal. During that, you will get a paper with the ITIN, but you don't need to do anything with it; it's just for your records.

Thank you Saylin, dancin5hr.gif

Co sponsor has expired passport and can't find the certificate of citizenship sad.png

- Doesn't matter if it's expired. It proves citizenship. A copy of the bio page is all that is needed.

Hi Saylin and everyone,

Both my 129F and 130 forms have been received by NVC yesterday, on March 12, so please update the spreadsheet.

I was told, however, that my 129F has been assigned a case number (though when I put it on the USCIS website, I am being told that this case number does not exist) and it should be forwarded to the embassy within a week or two. My 130 form has arrived as well, but it is not in the system yet and they have not assigned the case number. I thought that once both forms are approved at the same time (which happened in my case), the 129F is "killed" and you only have one route - IR1/CR1. Is this correct?

I do not want to pursue K3 anymore because of some logistical issues and costs associated with AOS in the U.S. How can I pursue CR1 instead of K3? Please help, as I am a bit confused...

Thanks!

- NVC case numbers will never work in the USCIS website. They are DOS numbers, Department of State. The NVC is part of the DOS. The USCIS is part of the DHS, Department of Homeland Security.

Because it's taking significantly less time for the NVC to accept and process the I-129F, they may send it to the embassy. At which time you may inform the embassy you no longer want to continue withe the K3 route.

Are you saying that if you DID NOT FILE, a transcript will verify that you did NOT file?- interesting point..... probably NOT a bad idea if you have a transcript verifying your statement and there is NO cost- you can request a transcript over the phone without actually filing a 4506-T.

- you cannot get a transcript saying you didn't not file a tax return. All that is required is a letter stating you did not file and why.

hey guys, question about the i-864ez. When submitting a copy of 1040+W2s/1099s, does the 1040 have to be signed/dated similar to how it was sent to the IRS?

- if you are using 1099 you do not qualify to use the I-864EZ. The 1040 should be an exact copy of what was sent to the IRS. It's much easier to just include a tax transcript unless you are trying to include 2013 taxes.

If I am not filing my taxes for 2013 because I was not working will my husband then just need an updated I864 for my sponsors taxes at the interview?? Confused here ?

Are you currently working? Do you have a joint sponsor?

i have the copy of the 1040, just without signature/date. i'll probably have to send my AOS after mid april and my tax tanscript won't be available at that point
