for point 1, i think its better she uses IRS form 4506-T and selects 7- verification of non filing option. Just my opinion.

use other opinions also.

Are you saying that if you DID NOT FILE, a transcript will verify that you did NOT file?- interesting point..... probably NOT a bad idea if you have a transcript verifying your statement and there is NO cost- you can request a transcript over the phone without actually filing a 4506-T.

Our I-130 and I-129F were approved at the same time as well and both got to the NVC. However, NVC didn't process our I-129F although we wanted to get that one and we made them known this, but they said we couldn't decide over that. We got a case number that never work on the ceac site.

I-129F petitions that are approved separately from the I-130 are usually forwarded to the embassy. That's not your case, so don't worry about it, you will have to continue with the I-130 process as most people here.

Thanks for your reply, but the lady at NVC said that usually they ship 129F to the embassy from NVC, but it may take a week or two, so my understanding was that they have the 129F form on the system, which can go to the embassy any time now... But my I-130 has been received, but it may take up to 30 business days to get it to their system... And I am worried that my 129F can arrive to the embassy earlier than my 130 will receive a case number... If this happens, would it be possible for me not to pursue K3, but just wait for the 130 processing?

Also, has your 129F case number started with "MSC" as well?

Hi Saylin,

I changed the profile. My application was sent to phoenix az, then it was transferred to NBC, then to Nebraska Service Center and approved on 2/14. NVC received it on 2/25/14.

thank you

Updated to Nebraska.

Saylin, I would like to be added to the spreadsheet please!

Added.

hi saylin smile.png

it took that long because uscis accidentally sent the petition to another uscis field office rather than sending it to nvc. i didn't follow up on it right away because my lawyer had told me to just wait until we receive any correspondence. that is why i seek some questions through there (visajourney) which some vj members have been very helpful with my situation and gave me some advices on what to do.

just a question now that i have my case # and invoice id #, what do i do next because i just don't want to sit here and wait for my lawyer.... i am scared that they won't act on my husband's case on a timely manner.

my husband's petition was filed since oct. 2012 and we are just in the NVC process just now. don't you think the timeline is off????? so that's why i've been trying to get ahead on things because i want this to finish and i want to be with my husband as soon as possible.

i also know that we would get a checklist since we can't provide the police clearance from singapore since singapore doesn't issue it for non singaporean. now that's another problem that i will be facing. sad.png((

Just press the post button once :P

And ah, yes, that sadly happens. Glad it eventually got sorted out. If you want, you can try requesting an expedite due to USCIS error. I've seen this work sometimes ;)

As for what to do next, please read posts 1 and 2. Everything you need is there.

Hi Saylin

Can you please add me to the list as well?

My case history is in my signature (NOA2 - 01/13/2014)

Thank you so much!

Added.

Hi, Saylin, pls add me to the amazing spreadsheet you ve been maintaining.

NOA2 2014-1-22 from NSC

NVC received 2014-2-3

Case number assigned with IIN and BID: 2014-3-12

Thank you!

Added.

You state NOA2 on 1/22, yet your signature says 1/21...

As Nobby7 said, you can fill it out. Just make sure all the info is correct and also the beneficiary knows the answers also.

You should be fine.

I will do the same thing when the time comes up for us for the Ds260. My wife does not speak English at all.

Oh lord, I need help does anyone know if the petitioner can fill out the ds260 and sign for the applicant? My husband speaks no English and is not to great with computers sad.png please help me ?

At the end of the DS260 there is a question regarding "did anyone assist you in filling out this form". I filled it out for my husband, so I just entered my information there.

When naming pdf's for the AOS Section i.e. tax transcripts, pay stubs, after the case number in the file name do we put the sponsors name or the beneficiary's name. So if Jane Doe is the immigrant and John doe is sponsoring her do we put case#_John_Doe_Tax_Transcripts or is it case#_Jane_Doe_Tax_Transcripts

I could not find a straightforward answer on this one.... I ended up using my name the petitioner/sponsor on the I-864 documents since my I signed it and it is my information. For the DS260 supporting docs I used my husbands/beneficiary name. Since there is already the case number on each PDF, it just seemed to make sense??? I don't know though. Crossing my fingers it isn't an issue.

I feel like at the end of the day, the case number is there and our file has both of our names.

We have the same case except I am not a dependant. My mom is my joint sponor she files mfj with stepdad. I've been researching and found out that u have to include your joint sponsor's w2 to show individual income. Make sure u provide pay stubs and letter of employment from your joint sponsor as well.

ok. Then may be you can answer a specific question!

part 6.5 - current annual income: Do i have to do an estimation based on monthly income or do I put the 2013 income?

part 6.13 a, b, c : what number do I put here? because the number on 1040 is a total of 2 incomes.

Thank you for reply

You'll just need to wait and see what happens.

If you don't want to pursue the K3, I have to ask, why did you even file the I-129F then? You should have known about the extra costs and processing...
