Collie: from your signature it looks like you mailed your AOS package the same day you paid the AOS bill. I was reading in a post earlier that one should wait for the AOS bill showing PAID on the website before mailing them the actual AOS package.

Yes I did and I did it because it still is floating in the mail room. It takes some time apparently before it actually gets inputted into the system. As of yesterday, even though I know that it was received at the NVC per USPS delivery confirmation, it still wasn't received in their system.

Update:Paid DS-260 Fee this morning

NVC recieved file: Jan 13, 2014

Case number assigned: Feb 12, 2014

DS-261 Filled: Feb 22, 2014

I-864 Fee paid: Feb 24, 2014

I-864 Sent: Feb 26, 2014

DS-260 Fee paid: March 12, 2014

Will the Ds-260 app be available by Friday?

Also, still waiting for my wife's PCC, should get it sometime next week, should I wait to send the IV packet?

I am not sure if anyone answered your question already. Original copy of PCC is required in the IV package.

Also, could you update your timeline when you get a chance?

They re-added previous employment?! I know it started that way, then they removed it, and IIRC correctly, they re-added and removed it again. So, now they're re-added it again?! Goodness NVC

Yep! I was not overly prepared for that one, thought it would only be current employer. Thankfully that was a much shorter list for my beneficiary than the addresses he lived at. Whew.

On the current employment it just asked for minimal information, but for previous employment it also asks for supervisor first and last names. Of course, there is the option to check the box that it does not apply. (or for instance if you don't remember)

They like to keep us all on our toes, eh?

please someone to give me some insight on my qtn....

Got some questions about the ds260 for a 10 yr old kid,

1. when they ask for present address do i give the current physical address or is it the mailing address.

2. when they ask have you lived anywhere other than this addresses since the age of 16 i say NO despite the fact that i have moved to different addresses with her since she was born.

3. on the education part when they ask for course of study; degree or diploma--is elementary school sufficient or i leave it blank or write n/a

I think you should keep calling everyday. My NVC receipt date is same as yours. I got the Case # earlier today. I have no doubt you are next. They said the email will be coming in about a week. Then I will be able to log in and start the payment process.

I am very shortly going to visit India and I was curious with regards to the medical exam. Can I get it done or do I have to wait until my wife is assigned an interview date?

What is it that Rele clinic in Gamdeve need? I am working on getting her PCC and other documents while I briefly visit her.

I called NVC twice and they told me they don't need an original of the PCC..They said I can present a copy now and just have the original for the interview.. but everything else needs to be original or certified copy..

Saylin advised me to send the original though so I told my husband to ship me the original but If I don't receive it on time, I will just send a copy
