Finally I made it!

At last my case is completed but i didnt receive any email or letter from NVC . I just called them for the update on my case and as per the NVC agent they will let me know the interview date by the end of this week or month.....

dwheels76! We got an interview, holy #######, April 8th!!! I just got the email and now I have some questions, hoping you all can help me out. My husband is flying back from Russia tomorrow (he was there for work) and is scheduled to leave to Japan for 1 week on March 29th. Is there any chance he will get his medical in time? I am going to call on Monday to try and make an appt. Also, the letter did not request that I be there nor did it mention Proof of Domicile, is this how it usually goes??? Thanks so much, so excited! This is the first time anything has been ahead of schedule for us!

Yay, visa status is now "ready" on ceac website and medical is finished yesterday(thank God,we did it in just 1 day). So now we'll just wait for the interview...and so the countdown begins now hehehe... 15 days to go til the interview. Husband and I are now excited and nervous.

My interview date will be on april 4. How about you?

I am in CA and we have been here for over 10 yr together, no worries about proof of domicile as I have been working on this for over a year (read lots o scary posts of folks being turned away) just surprised it was not even mentioned and never has been up to this point.

As for the medical, I am just worried we wont get an appt before he has to leave on the 29th, do you know if it is usually booked up? He wont be back till the 4th and that would be cutting it way close...

I guess you got to call tomorrow and see. have no idea the procedure of Canada's medicals. but it says you pick up results 3 days later.

I would have updated I-864, W2, 2013 tax forms or transcripts and most recent paystubs just in case. Whatever was submitted at NVC should be in a folder at interview just in case.

So I am soooooo disappointed right now!!! My husband went for his medicals on Monday, they said he had to come back today to meet with the doctor, i assume to go over things but not really sure! When they were finished my husband asked about taking his documents for his appointment on Monday, which they had told him was the process, and they said they were out of envelopes!!!!!!! This makes no sense!! They are saying there is no way for him to have his medicals by Monday because of the lack of envelopes how is that even possible!!! There were other places he could have gone for his medical exam if he had known to ask if they would have the proper envelopes to transport his documents for his interview on Monday!!! Going crazy over here and running out of time!!!​

Well the best thing everyone should be doing is going to their countries portal and click on Consulate reviews. And read through them. Then go through the guides and read the interview questions. Just basic but you never know what they will ask.

They may ask you nothing they may ask you a million questions. Its all individual based on your evidence and what is presented to CO.

I know I went through the Nigerian reviews and copied all in a word document took out all the unnecessary things and just had questions and tips for my husband to review.

Thanks dwheels76, he definitely will go to the interview and tomorrow is going back to the hospital to continue to try to resolve this! We just cant stand to have any delays at this point! We have been lucky because we are at about 11 months from the beginning of this process but it has taken a very harsh toll on my husband!! Last week being our one year anniversary we really need something positive to happen! I know God will see us thru, but I just needed to vent! I know there are things out of our control, but this situation just blew my mind!! I am praying it can be resolved, I am really hoping he will be here in the next few weeks so we can get on with our life!!
