So my husband I got married last year and he just got approved for his green card. What does he need to do get his citizenship? I don't even know where to began.

We met, we dated, we got married, filed the papers to stay here, and now we're waiting for a green card!

Around 3 years from now. You can read the rules in the N400 instructions. If you have been married less than 2 years, you will need to remove conditions on the GC in about 2 years. Form I-751.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

If you had been married less than 2 years at the time he became a permanent resident, you will need to worry about removal of conditions before naturalization becomes a concern. Removal of conditions is a mandatory process but USCIS does not remind you to apply for it. You must apply for it within the 90-day period preceding the expiration of your two-year green card.
