Hi all,

We are filing for adjustment of status and already sent in the original packet my USC wife's father's information as joint sponsor in i-864 but we didn't know that my wife as a petitioner for my previous I-129F had to send I-864 also. So we got an RFE today asking us to fill her (my wife's) I-864. But now my question is that since we all live in same household, can we just send my wife's I-864 as a separate one or should we include her parents again with I-864A forms to hers.

Thank you so much for your help!

Just go ahead and send in her I-864 and supporting documents. It was required and that is why they are asking for it. Leaving the father as joint sponsor with his own separate I-864 is fine. No need to change that now. It is best for the father to have the separate I-864 instead of I-864A anyway. The father's wife could have filed an I-864A to go along with his I-864, but not needed if the USCIS is not asking for it.
