Such VERY personal issues, it hurts. And lashing out seems to be the EASY thing to do. I like many before me (after too) feel that MY situation is more important or MORE something than everyone else-- But in fact like it has been stated WE ALL are exposed to "the process"--

I have not seen my Wife, and two daughters (other than regular SKYPE calls) since November 2011..... I had to return to the states GET A JOB and QUALIFY AS A SPONSOR BEFORE I could file a petition- I don't have or wouldn't ask ANYONE to sponsor my family they are my responsibility. After living in Honduras for FOUR years I certainly did not qualify. MY ASSETS were wiped out by the economical downturns which FORCED me to do SOMETHING--

IF PRIORITY was based on TIME apart, married, engaged? children, no children? how long been married ? 1 year? two year?

UNFORTUNATELY -- NONE of this comes into play - it is GOVERNMENT BEAUROCRACY at its finest RED TAPE-

So the best thing you can do is be honest, do your best, study, prepare, love, have faith and TRUST that your day will come.

THERE IS NO ANSWER THAT FITS ALL.

NEVER BEFORE have I had feelings of UNFARENESS and HELPLESSNESS like this before--

Put trust in GOOD and keep the faith, right now 60 or 90 days more feels like a walk in the park to me.

USCIS is faster with the K1 visas because they make them more money. Plain and simple.

You also will not find CR1 visa interviews on the same website as the K1 interviews because it's possible that K1 can book their own interview whereas CR1 need to wait for the NVC to book the interview based off of when the embassy or consulate opens up dates.

There is nothing in immigration that is fair. But it's a privilege not a right.

As soon as you take your entitlement out of the question, stop saying you deserve this, that, or the other thing, and start saying instead that you're grateful for the privilege, you'll find yourself in a happier place. This is a year or two in a lifetime with a spouse. Is this other person not worth this time and effort? Yes we all want to be togther, otherwise we wouldn't be going through this process. But this 2 years for immigration isn't your lifetime, it's just a process you have to go through. Doesn't mean it doesn't suck but it does mean you should always remember it and be grateful when you're finally together all the time.

Just my 2 cents anyhow.

well said... and WE have had similar family conversations, we appreciate each other MORE and will cherish our time together, never wanting to be apart again.. valuable 2 cents
