Timeline

Can someone tell me the purpose of the timeline? We submitted a brief timeline with dates of all our trips in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013. The timeline that was pinned down on this forum was a series of questions , so this was different from how I did my timeline (based on dates and events).

Timeline

Are you taking about the timeline page where you put in dates of petition and its movement. That's how we get timelines and estimates.

What you see under peoples names (their signature that's their own personal timeline they may want people to know how they meet all that. That's not something that is processed for estimates.

The timesline page is th emost important.

Timeline

No I meant timeline of the relationship. There was a post pinned in Vietnam regional forum with a Vietnamese and US timeline form. When I opened the timeline, I saw series of questions to be answered about relationship. It is very different from the timeline I did submit to USCIS. So I was wondering if I should updated my timeline and answers those questions?

I just wrote a couple paragraphs describing when and how I met my fiance and how long we have known each other. The form is just an example of a timeline. There is no standard format so don't worry

This is the format where Embassy in HCM requires for the timeline of relationship. You might not need it for interview but this is what they were asking me to do. I write it out from her 221(g) or blue slip that required me to do.

Petitioner: In an original signed, sworn, notarized statement, please provide a detailed chronology (timeline) of your relationship. Please explain clearly when and how you first met, how you were introduced and when you begin corresponding with each other, when you felt your relationship became serious, date and circumstances of marriage proposal (location, time, place, situation, setting, etc). If a friend or relative arranged the meeting, provide the name of the individual who did the matchmaking and their current contact information. Also, provide the statement from that individual indicating how they know the Petitioner and Beneficiary. If the Petitioner was paid by the matchmaker, indicate how much money was exchanged. Did spouse or finance(e) propose in person or by phone? Where were you when he or she proposed ( give exact location)? Did you accept immediately or ask for time to think about it? If he or she did not officially propose, when did you first discuss marriage? How many trips did you make to Vietnam to visit your spouse or fiancé(e)? How many times have you seen him or her in total? How long did you stay each visit? Please give as many details as possible. NOTE: ALL SWORN, NOTARIZED STATEMENTS MUST BE IN ENGLISH.
