Goodluck April filers!! Anyone else filing this month? We have 7 people on our list so far :)

My Journey:

We met through a study-abroad program in Shanghai, China in August of 2009

We got engaged March of 2010

I received my K1 VISA in 6 months (June-December 2010)

We were married 04/02/2011
I received my conditional 2-year greencard (AOS) in 2.5 months with no interview (April-June 2011)

Our son was born 02/03/2013

I received my masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology 04/17/2013

I received my 10-year greencard (ROC) in 3 months with no interview (March-June 2013)

My husband returned from deployment 06/20/2013

My naturalization journey took 4 months (April-August 2014)

I became a US citizen on 08/01/2014

Received passport in 3 weeks (regular processing)

My window opens today but i wanna send my 2013 tax return which will be filed by end of this week so probably will send out by next monday.

i have a quick question from all:

i live with my in-laws therefore no mortgage or lease.

with my I-751 application, I sent out a letter from my father in law stating i me and my wife live with them and support them financially.

to be on safe side, you guys think i need to re-send this letter justifying why i dont have any mortgage/lease/rent expense?

Honestly, no.

You only open the door to be required to build a whole stack of exhaustive documentation around this circumstance and since it's not needed by the USCIS, it's not needed to send it to them.

Why does it say Removal of Conditions? are you applying for citizenship or ROC? and As far as I know the form N-400 has to be signed only by the person applying for citizenship or am I missing something here?

  • Letter from auto insurance company verifying joint auto liability coverage under both of our names
  • Letter from Bank verifying the joint checking account under both of our names.

  • Letter from Bank and Costco Club verifying the joint credit cards accounts under both of our names
  • Joint credit cards accounts monthly statements showing commingling of financial resources:
    • Copy of Bank joint credit cards showing same number and statements from various months for year 2012, 2013 & 2014
    • Copy of Costco Club statements from various months for year 2012 , 2013 & 2014
  • Copies of our home phone bills for various months for year 2011, 2012, 2013 & 2014

You are not petitioning anything or anyone, therefore no one is a Beneficiary or a Petitioner. There is only an N-400 applicant and only their signature is required and needed; the USC spouse doesn't sign anything and will not be present at the interview; you are not filing N-400 jointly.

Only send what is required and bring extra evidence of marriage to the interview.

I received my K1 VISA in 6 months (June-December 2010)

Our son was born 02/03/2013

I received my masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology 04/17/2013

I received my 10-year greencard (ROC) in 3 months with no interview (March-June 2013)

My husband returned from deployment 06/20/2013

My naturalization journey took 4 months (April-August 2014)

I became a US citizen on 08/01/2014

Received passport in 3 weeks (regular processing)
