Hi my dear April filers :)

I received my biometric appt letter in the mail today, it's for May 30th. I'll go ahead and do a walk-in on Friday though, I am off from work that day! Whatever they're doing, they're doing great cause this month filers are moving smoooothly. Love it!!

N-400 sent on 4/28/2014

Check cashed on 5/3/2014

Text msg & email received 5/5/2014

Biometric appointment letter mailed out on 5/15/2014

Biometric appointment letter received on 5/19/2014 for May 30th,2014

Biometrics done (walk-in) on 5/23/2014

Inline for interview 5/28/2014

Received yellow letter indicating to bring to the interview ID/State DL and all passports on 7/5/2014

USCIS website status changed to ''scheduled for interview" on 7/24/2014

Received letter :interview date will be on 9/2/2014

Interview result : approved :joy:

Oath Ceremony appointment date letter mailed out on 9/5/2014

Online status changed and received letter with Oath Ceremony date for 9/12/2014

I just got my update that my interview has been scheduled!

Awesome! Update us when you get the interview letter date and interview date.. :)

My Journey:

We met through a study-abroad program in Shanghai, China in August of 2009

We got engaged March of 2010

I received my K1 VISA in 6 months (June-December 2010)

We were married 04/02/2011
I received my conditional 2-year greencard (AOS) in 2.5 months with no interview (April-June 2011)

Our son was born 02/03/2013

I received my masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology 04/17/2013

I received my 10-year greencard (ROC) in 3 months with no interview (March-June 2013)

My husband returned from deployment 06/20/2013

My naturalization journey took 4 months (April-August 2014)

I became a US citizen on 08/01/2014

Received passport in 3 weeks (regular processing)

Received my Bio-metrics letter in the mail yesterday...I am booked for June 6, 2014..

Also, did you guys notice USCIS has switched to regular (cheaper) paper from better quality paper but the fees is still the same... lol

tomorrow I will be in-line for a month already :clock: From what I have read for some members here, it seems Philadelphia waits to schedule you until you are already past your 90-day window or really close to you, so hopefully I get a schedule within this month! :)

I think we will have to be patient. It'll be all over the place depending on location. The more rural areas seem to be serviced quickly (<3 months) and NYC exceeding the 5 months goal.

From what I gathered in Chicago, It has recently been exactly a month each between NOA, Biometrics, Interview letter, Interview and Oath - making this a 4 months time line. That said I see everything from 5 months exactly a year ago (with 3 month between Bio and interview) and 3 1/2 months for last July filers.

For me, expecting a May 30 Interview letter for a Jun 30 interview is a very optimistic time line. A more realistic view should be for a mid August completion with a 4 1/2 month time line, especially if we expect an increase of applications due to tax refunds.

The time line is really set by the priority date. There could be a small delay to accommodate the 90 day for early filers, but it does not seem to delay the overall process much in the large population centers, where the process is closer to 5 months anyway.

Spoke too soon, just got a notification that I am scheduled for an interview!! YAY! So hopefully the letter comes next week and I'll know the date.. :) They probably just waited until I was in-line for a month :)

My Journey:

We met through a study-abroad program in Shanghai, China in August of 2009

We got engaged March of 2010

I received my K1 VISA in 6 months (June-December 2010)

We were married 04/02/2011
I received my conditional 2-year greencard (AOS) in 2.5 months with no interview (April-June 2011)

Our son was born 02/03/2013

I received my masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology 04/17/2013

I received my 10-year greencard (ROC) in 3 months with no interview (March-June 2013)

My husband returned from deployment 06/20/2013

My naturalization journey took 4 months (April-August 2014)

I became a US citizen on 08/01/2014

Received passport in 3 weeks (regular processing)
