Hello guys, I was reviewing the n-400 application and I notice I didn't include the cruise, that I took for 3 days to the Bahamas. Since my passport wasn't stamp I completely forgot to include it.

Can I mention it on the interview?

Yes I think you should because when i went on cruise they also did not stamp my passport but the officer did swipe my green card so its in the system.

It wont matter as long as you did not distrupt the physical presense requirement.

what a mistake i didn't send the g1145 form, so idk what is going on

Don't worry about it. I sent in the g form and I received email and text message. They basically say to wait for the NOA in the mail, which I am . Give it few more days and it will be in your mailbox. I am also sure the paper looks better than the text :)

Online status changed and received letter with Oath Ceremony date for 9/12/2014

My Journey:

We met through a study-abroad program in Shanghai, China in August of 2009

We got engaged March of 2010

I received my K1 VISA in 6 months (June-December 2010)

We were married 04/02/2011
I received my conditional 2-year greencard (AOS) in 2.5 months with no interview (April-June 2011)

Our son was born 02/03/2013

I received my masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology 04/17/2013

I received my 10-year greencard (ROC) in 3 months with no interview (March-June 2013)

My husband returned from deployment 06/20/2013

My naturalization journey took 4 months (April-August 2014)

I became a US citizen on 08/01/2014

Received passport in 3 weeks (regular processing)

I have a question. My son is 17 and he is a german but i only filed citizenchip for me do i have to take him to the interview. He won't be 18 until August 20th.

You don't have to take your son to the interview, since it's only your application and not his.

1- If your son is a legal permanent resident and is under 18 years old on the day that you become a US citizen (the day of your oath ceremony, not the interview), then he will automatically become a US citizen. You can then file an N600 for him so that he can get a naturalization certificate or you can just apply for a passport for him directly.

2- If your son is not currently a greencard-holder, then you will have to sponsor him for a green card and after 5 years he can file his own N400.

3- If your son is currently a greencard-holder, but turns 18 before you become a citizen, then he will have to wait until he has had his greencard for 5 years and then he can file his own N400.

Hi all, so today I got an email from uscis saying on May 9, 2014 my application was placed in line for interview scheduling!! Yay!!

April 2-14- sent packet

April 16-14- uscis sent appointment letter to wrong address

May 8-14- biometric appoinment

May 9-14 - uscis sent a notice for in-line interview scheduling

Hi everyone! :) I am updating the list since I received my NOA in the mail yesterday.It's form I-797C and it states ''the above application has been received by our office and is in process''. It has a NBC case number and it also says ''Upon receipt of all required record checks, you will be scheduled to appear for an interview at your local USCIS office". It doesn't say anything about application being approved , does it have to say that ? I also wanted to ask you, what's the next step? I will just be waiting for biometric appt letter in the mail? Thank you.

It doesn't say anything about application being approved because it hasn't been approved yet. It will only be approved if and when you pass your interview. First NOA is only an acceptance notification, nothing else. Next step is biometrics, then interview.

Checked my status online today and it said my biometrics appointment letter was mailed out on May 8

Should be expecting it in my mail box any day now :-)

Hello April filers just an update,and this is what it says on my case,i gauged this message out of USCIS website when i check my status. :dancing:

Testing and Interview

On May 12, 2014, your N400, APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION was scheduled for interview. You will receive a notice with a time and place for your interview. If you have not received the notice within 30 days of the date the notice is mailed, please call customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for further assistance. If you move, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address

If your case status indicates that you are currently in this step, you have either been scheduled for an interview or are in line to be scheduled for an interview. The amount of time your application will remain in this step will vary by office and is largely determined by the number of cases ahead of yours. The interview notice will have specifics about time, location and anything you will need to bring to your interview. If your application remains pending beyond our normal processing times (as shown below) please contact our national customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

11/09/2010- Sent out I485, I-130, I-765 Applications Chicago Office11/14/2010- USCIS recieved my applications11/18/2010- Received Receipts11/29/2010- Received my biometrics appointment scheduled for 12/17/201012/17/2010- Biometrics Done01/07/2011- Interview Scheduled for Feb 7th.01/21/2011- Received Email saying EAD card production01/26/2011- Received Email again saying EAD card production01/31/2011- Received EAD Card in the Mail02/07/2011- AOS Interview - Green Card Approved!!!!02/08/2011- Received Email Card/Document Production11/30/2012- Mailed out I-75112/07/2012- Received NOA12/11/2012- Received Biometric Appointment letter

12/28/2012- Biometric Appointment

05/28/2013 - Approval Letter Recieved

06/19/13- 10 Year Green Card Recieved !!!! :)

04/25/2014- Mailed out N-400 Application

05/02/2014 - Recieved email from USCIS

05/05/2014-NOA Letter

05/23/2014- Biometrics Appointment

05/28/2014- Text/Email notification In Line for Interview

07/16/2014- Text/Email Scheduled for interview

07/21/2014- Text/Email Placed in line for interview scheduling. very odd scheduled for interview and then placed back in line again

07/22/2014- Text/Email Scheduled for Interview
07/28/2014- Received interview letter
08/26/14- Interview Appointment/ Citizenship test ( APPROVED :D )

08/27/14- Scheduled for Oath Ceremony

09/16/14- Oath Ceremony :goofy::dance:
