But they are. It breaking the law... The law allows for USC to spontaneously marry and their spouses can then, legally apply to adjust their status while here in the USA ... As a courtesy to the USC, the overstay on a legal entry (visa overstays) are forgiven... Perfectly legal. We here are merely pointing out what package needs to be filed for this... And your right, the immigration makes no seance because like it or not... AOS is a LEGAL way if it falls under certain circumstances... And this case in the surface seems to fit that criteria ...

Thanks for being part of the problem why we IR1/CR1 filers doing it the right way have to wait a year to be reunited with our spouses.

You should not judge people like that, YOU dont know people stories. I saw what you had said about me, but you probably deleted, FIRST of all MY HUSBAND is not my sugar daddy!! MY parents brought me here when i was a kid, so its not like i had a choice to NOT stay here... AND yea after i became an adult, life here is all i knew. SO STOP judding!!

18 is the age of consent and the point at which you start acquiring illegal presence and are deemed to have a choice.

Don't go through the asylum route. My case has been pending for two years. one year after I applied for the asylum thingy I married a US citizen. After staying another year without a response, my wife decided to petition for me as she was pregnant and I needed to work. Do the adjustment of status bit.
