At the end of the bulletin they said that the demand is over what they can take and in the next months will be a retrogression in all countries..

WORLDWIDE F2A: From early 2013 through September 2013, the level of demand for numbers in this preference category was extremely low. As a result, the F2A cut-off date was advanced at a very rapid pace, in an attempt to generate demand so that the annual numerical limit could be fully utilized. As readers of the Visa Bulletin were advised during that time, such cut-off date advances were not expected to continue, and at some point they could stop, or retrogression might be required.

The level of demand being experienced for FY-2014 has resulted in the Worldwide F2A cut-off date being held since October. Despite no forward movement of the cut-off date, the level of demand has continued to increase dramatically. At the current rate, such demand will require a retrogression of the F2A cut-off date within the next several months. That action would be necessary to hold number use within the annual numerical limit.

Hey Burusc,

Have you checked on the status of your case. I see you filed in Dec 2013 at the CSC why haven't you been approved already? As far as I know most if not all December 2013 cases have been approved. CSC is now working on February 2014 cases. Did you receive a RFE?

Hey! Im still waiting on initial review, my husband called uscis last wednesday and they told us that we are between the normal processing times since the website says cali center takes up to 5 months for f2A, but if the 5 months come without approval i should call again. My husband also asked if there was anything that we could do to expedite our process since my country is undergoing through this chaos (venezuela) but nothing has been approved for those situations so we need to wait like evrybody else. I guess Im not that worried about it because the lawyer we hired said it was gonna take between 4 and 8 months. Im mostly worried because very soon i'll be flying back to my country which im not looking forward to.. But it is what it is.. Lol thanks for asking

Oh ok I see. I really hope you get approved soon hun, I just don't get this damn system how can they be approving Feb cases when they still have Dec 2013 cases pending. Makes no sense but as you said it is all in God hands. I swear this whole immigration process is giving me major anxiety, I just have to be praying and trying to keep calm as possible. The worst thing about it is I really doubt our PD Dates will be become current this year. With the retrogression coming between June-August I think it will start moving forward very slowly in Oct when the new fiscal year begin. All we can do now is pray & leave everything in gods hands, all the best.

What i understood from the visa bulletin is that there is a retrogression right across the corner but after that, the bulletin should start moving instead of staying stopped for months and months, however if they keep receiving such a huge amount of petitions there will be another retrogression so i hope the amount of those will decrase, so they dont back up to far from this year. Without being selfish, lets hope not too many people send their petition in the next months >.<

Yep that is what I basically got from it too however I really have no faith in the fast movement of it (I really don't think they would get to my PD Date until sometime next year) so I am just going to stop paying attention to the Visa Bulletin and concentrate on getting my hubby Citizenship. All the best hun:-)

My wife checked her mail box today and surprisingly our petition has been approved. The funny Thing about it is that my priority date is March 11th meaning I got approved in less than a month as the date on the approval receipt is April 9th. At first I doubted her until when she scanned it and sent to my email.

Wow......... It's still very surprising Cos I was expecting to be approved by next month.

Any explanation for my case
