Well, we are officially at our 6-week mark post-interview and sitting deep in the black hole of Administrative Review. I asked the NVC agent today what exactly happens after the 60-day period (considering that is now only 18 lovely days away <<sigh>>) She said they can submit a direct inquiry to the consulate but only after 60-days have passed with no activity on our case. She said the last active date they were working on our case was 6-Feb even though the status updated date on the CEAC website reflects 18-Feb. I confirmed again that 60-days would have to pass from 6-Feb to submit this inquiry, NOT 60-days since our interview. She said that was correct. Seriously.... I have never heard of this before today and am again, at a loss.

I know info can vary from agent to agent but does anyone know if this is actually the way the "60-day" thing works? And that there is a big difference between the apparent "WORKED ON" date and the CEAC site's "Status Updated Date"? Blahhh......

I'm worried as well... never would have imagined waiting this long after the interview. At a loss for words about this whole mess and in reviewing the forums, it seems there are many others lately dealing with the same issue at various embassys. Praying for good news soon for all of us. sad.png

Have you heard anything at all on your case yet? Our status updated date hasn't changed now in over 2-weeks.... I called the NVC center and was told nothing has been worked on since 6-Feb cray5ol.gif Beyond frustrated.....

Today both Case Creation Date and Status Updated Date change from "Immigrant Visa" Ready to "Nonimmigrant Visa" Ready and I also checked the Status of the DS160, it says Ready, it used to say NO Status. I guess that's good news, I don't know if that has anything to do with my congressman because I contacted his office about 2 weeks ago.

That is WONDERFUL NEWS!!!!!! I do believe you're fiance's visa will be ready and SOON! Wow! That gives me a great idea and I will be contacting my congressman as well to see if that helps us as well. Either way, so happy that your ridiculous wait is coming to an end dancin5hr.gif

Oh! How do you check the status of the DS-160? Haven't done that at all...

When your fiancé completed his DS160 an ID number was generated, go to the CEAC site select nonimmigrant visa status then select the country an then enter the application ID number
