I filed my AOS from a K1 Visa on July 5th last year, I received my EAD card on September 16th. Should I be concerned that I have not heard anything from them? I have tried calling but cant seem to get through to anyone, just a computer. Does anyone have any suggestions or am I being paranoid?

Did you receive a letter saying you may be a potential interview waiver case? Have you checked your case status online? I think it sounds like you've been put in the interview waiver pile which means you won't have an interview but AOS can then take up to a year.

I applied in August last year, did biometrics in September, received EAD/AP card in October and got potential interview waiver letter in December. I've heard nothing since then but it does say on the letter not to contact them unless 6 months has passed from date of letter.

What number are you calling and what options are you selecting?

Hi

I have received no letter from them.

Last letter was a change if address as I moved with my wife across town. Our friends live in out old apartment and they have received no mail for us.

I call the number on the USCIS website when I check my status, which I do on a daily basis.

Thanks for responding

I can't remember which option you need to select to talk to a human at USCIS but it is possible, I've had to do it on at least 2 occasions. If you still have no luck speaking to someone on the telephone you could try making an info pass appointment.

I know it can be frustrating with all the waiting we have to do for this. When you check your status what status is showing for the I-485?

Ok I just called the USCIS number and here is what i did to speak to a human. First select option 2 to hear the latest info on the case. You put in the case number and it will tell you the last action taken on your case. After it has done this it will give you 3 more options the 3rd option is to speak to someone if you think there is a problem with your case, select option 3 and you should get a human. Hope this helps smile.png
