After writing to my Congressman regarding my citizenship interview, I finally received my interview letter. A day later, I received another letter stating my interview schedule was cancelled due to "unforeseen circumstances". Needless to say, happiness was short-lived. After 10 months of waiting for my interview, seems like they want me to wait more. Has anybody experienced this before? A little insight would help. Thanks

Hi, reading these posts might help. It looks like this happens more often than you would expect and that the interview is usually rescheduled in a couple of months. I don't know what city you're in, but if you've had bad weather lately, they may have pushed back some schedule interviews to make time for all the people whose interviews were canceled due to snowstorms.

We had the same letter. After calling USCIS I was told that our file was forwarded too late and thus the location of the interview did not have it yet. In our "special" case I let them know my wife would be departing soon with the military, so that very same afternoon the interviewing officer called my wife and scheduled her for the interview and oath the same day.
