hello gud aftn members,

i am new to this forum and dnt knw how to start,

i am the immigrant and my wife is a petitioner in our case. she is filling affidavit of support (signed I-864) for me but the problems is her last year income was ($14,000) only and she is not qualified to sponsor me. poverty guidelines for 2 household members is around $19,500

So, her best friend is going to sponsor me

my question is,

> which form she has to sign ?? I-864 or I-864A

> if I-864 then, she has to mark in part-1:option 1(d) => i m the only joint sponsor

>she is filling her taxes alone so the household size will be 2 including me??

>which type of proofs needed from her & v which are very necessary to show ???

For a safe side,if we show some savings (around $5,000) in my wife account is kk or not necessary

bec she borrow money from her papa & she doesn't saves money regularly.

1. She files I-864

2. Yes

3. Yes

4. The same as your wife; 3 years tax docs, pay stubs, ideally letter from employer, and proof of US citizenship of greencard.

No need to show savings if the joint sponsor is comfortably over the poverty limit.
