traveling on Green card

Hello Been a while. But my question is my Husband has been here since July came on k1 visa from Tunisia he received his green card beginning of January. He would like to go visit his family next month for a couple of weeks seeing we have a baby on the way in Aug it will be a while before either of us will be able to go back. He also wants to go before he starts his new job. I wont be going seeing i will almost be 5 months pregnant and nervous about traveling. My question is He shouldn't have a problem coming back in the US seeing he will be without me. Also does he need any other paperwork besides his passport and green card ? Sorry if anyone thinks this is a silly questions.. I have friends with green cards and they say all time mayb they wont let him back.

With his green card and passport he should be able to travel back to the US!

Shoot your friends. For short trips there will be no problems. That is what the GC is for. If he took your name after marriage, he may want to carry a copy of the Marriage Certificate. Just make certain the airline ticket matches the name in his passport and his passport is valid. Other than that he should be fine. You can tell your friends that the CBP can deny anybody from entering the US except those with a blue US passport, but they usually need a very good reason to do so,

Tell your husband to enjoy his trip and do not bring back anything that will get him in trouble with customs,
